| Biological knowledge in senior high school was complex and difficulty to be learned.So,appropriate and effective learning method is very important for students.Group cooperative learning that organized students to work together for learning could enhance the cooperation and communication ability of students and improve students' comprehensive quality.So,more and more educators payed attention to group cooperative learning in class.In view of this,techniques including literature research,questionnaire survey research and practical research,were utilized to explore the application value of group cooperative learning in senior high school biology classroom.In literature research progress,we found that group cooperative learning could efficiently improve the communication and cooperation of students with each other,learning interest in biology,and the efficiency of study.In addition,the difficulty in teaching and study time on biology was reduced.It plays a crucial role in students' future study and growth.The main features of group cooperative learning,including scientific grouping,strengthening team consciousness,clearing learning goals,reasonable evaluation and teachers' roles,were concluded.Following,questionnaires are conducted on the students and teachers in our school to assess application of group cooperative learning in biological class.The results of investigation displayed many problems in the implementation progress of group cooperative learning in biology class.Teachers were troubled by the fact that whether group cooperative learning could effectively enhance the teaching effect of biology at class.In addition,teachers were plagued by other problems,including low utilization rate,formalism,random grouping,fuzzy division of labor and unscientific allocation of time.On the other hand,students also faced some troubles,including inactive learning and discussion with low learning efficiency.Based on these observation,we suggested that teachers should deeply comprehend the educational concept of the new curriculum reform,and design a scientific and reasonable progress of group cooperative learning for students.In practical teaching progress,one class was taken as experimental group with group cooperative learning teaching model,while another as control group with traditional teaching model.Methods including questionnaire,academic record and interview were utilized to evaluate experimental results.As the results of experiments,the students' interest and enthusiasm in studying biology were significantly improved after the process of group cooperative learning.In addition,the comprehensive quality of students,includes the ability of communication and collaboration,and academic records,were also significantly improved.Furthermore,the relationship between teachers and students became better in experimental group that in control.In conclusion,scientific group cooperative learning method not only improve the quality of biology teaching in senior high school,but also had positive impact on students' future growth. |
