Research On The Construction Of Safety Management And Education System For Children In Kindergarten

Children are in the initial stage of physical and mental development.With the policy of second-child in China,the number of children is becoming more and more.Children’s defense is weak,and their nature is lively,energetic,and eager to learn.They are so young and ill-informed that they are easy to be hurt since they don’t have enough self-prevention and self-protection capabilities.The Guide to learning and Development for Children aged 3-6 states that Children aged 3-6 should have the ability of safety and self-protection knowledge.At present,the key of kindergarten security problem is defense.Now we often stay in the simple form of safety education for young children.That is,there are more lectures and less practice.Once an accident occurs,children still do not know what to do.This paper is based on Suzhou D Kindergarten by conducting a study about the security situation for 30 teachers and 200 parents with observation and communication.The current situation of our safety management and education system was found to be as follows:First,the lack of kindergarten safety hardware facilities;Second,the unavailable of looking after children when they have diet,nap,or games.Third,the parents neglectfulness of care and children’s poor awareness of traffic safety during activities outside kindergarten;Fourth,the lack of safety education for children.This paper has shown that there are several problems in the safety management and education system in D kindergarten:1.Lack of management strength of kindergarten director.2.Lack of teaching skills of kindergarten teachers.3.Lack of accountability of kindergarten security personnel.4.Lack of home-school communication of parents.Based on the above findings,combining with the advanced safety management methods and safety education measures in foreign kindergartens,in order to improve safety management and education in D kindergarten,several strategies are summarized as followed:Firstly,the safety supervision should be strengthened by government.Secondly,the safety management should be improved by kindergarten conductors.Thirdly,the safety education should be improved by kindergarten teachers.Fourthly,the child-care should be raised by parents.Lastly,the protection barriers should be built by society.
