| In recent years,China has vigorously advocated the implementation of quality education.Innovation is the key to implementing quality education,and the core of quality education is the innovation ability training.As the foundation works of national strength competition,it is necessary for education to cultivate a new generation of talents with innovative spirit and innovation ability,which is the characteristics and the requirements of the times of quality education.With the development of education informatization,STEAM Education,which focuses on process and practice,and emphasizes the innovation ability training,has begun to emerge.And STEAM Education is becoming one of the main educational and teaching concepts and the future development directions of education for the realization of national innovation and training of innovative talents in the world.STEAM Education transforms students from the recipient of knowledge to the creator of knowledge,making it play an important role in students’ innovation ability training.However,because STEAM Education is still in the preliminary stage in China,as well as the innovation ability of primary and middle school students still needs to be improved,this study aims to build a STEAM teaching model for primary and secondary school students to cultivate their innovation ability,with a view to promoting the development of STEAM Education and primary and secondary school students’ innovation ability training.Through a large number of relevant literature research,this study firstly combs and summarizes the domestic and international research status of STEAM Education and innovation ability training,and defines the core concepts,such as STEAM Education,innovation ability training and teaching model.Secondly,a questionnaire survey is made to understand the current situation of the innovation ability training of primary and secondary school students.Thirdly,based on the above research and under the guidance of theoretical basis,including constructivism learning theory,multiple intelligence theory,learning by doing theory and project-based learning theory,as well as the main ideas of starting from the reality of life,interdisciplinary knowledge integration and learning by doing,the STEAM teaching model in primary and secondary school for innovation ability training is designed and constructed by referring to the existing teaching model.Then,according to the model,the teaching experiment design and teaching research is carried out.Two classes of the first grade of Guangzhou H Middle School,the author’s internship school,are selected as the experimental subjects.And the Scratch course,Magic Kaleidoscope,is taken as an example.The practical application in the specific teaching situation is to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the STEAM teaching model of primary and secondary school.Finally,through the analysis of teaching implementation effect questionnaires,teacher-student interviews and the innovation ability measurement scale,the results show that the STEAM teaching model in primary and secondary school for innovation ability training is able toeffectively improve students’ learning effect and innovation ability and play a positive role in the innovation ability training.However,there are still some limitations in this study,which will be further improved in subsequent research. |
