Industry 4.0 is an era that promotes the transformation,transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by means of advanced information technology,also known as the era of intelligence.With the emergence of the intelligent era,the social requirements for talents have also changed greatly.Scientific and technological innovative talents have been attached great importance,and the traditional education mode of emphasizing knowledge over skills and theory over practice is no longer applicable.In this context,STEAM education emerges at the historic moment.Chinese scholars have made a lot of beneficial attempts in exploring the localization of STEAM education by combining Chinese learning conditions and educational characteristics in the development stage of basic education.However,to truly implement the "localization of STEAM education",China’s national conditions still need to be considered.The integration of the special meaning and value of The excellent Traditional Chinese culture with STEAM education for the lower grades of primary schools is not only novel but also of great significance.STEAM teaching for the lower grades of primary schools incorporating Chinese traditional culture can promote the development of students’ higher-order thinking ability and correct students’ wrong cognition of traditional history and culture.Improve students’ overall sense of national cultural identity,establish cultural confidence,and promote the localized development of STEAM education.In this paper,literature analysis method and case analysis method are used to summarize the existing theories in the research field,analyze their ideas and learn their experience based on the research achievements of predecessors and research reviews at home and abroad.Research on STEAM teaching mode for cultural inheritance-oriented primary school students mainly includes the construction of STEAM teaching mode for cultural inheritance-oriented primary school students and the practical application of STEAM teaching mode for cultural inheritance-oriented primary school students.With constructivism learning theory,situational theory of learning theories,project learning activities,such as theory basis,draw lessons from STEM teaching mode,the interdisciplinary learning activity design 5 ex model based on project,C-STEAM model has excellent teaching mode,system design and build the cultural heritage of the elementary school lower grade oriented STEAM education mode.And according to the teaching practice of the model,the "near shadow play-explore the mysteries of light and shadow" case carried on the thorough analysis,and using the method of video analysis of teacher and students in the classroom performance were analyzed,at the end of the teaching,use a variety of evaluation methods for students in the classroom,classroom participation,to evaluate the cognitive presence of promotion of traditional culture,Form accurate evaluation result,practice result achieves the expected goal.The research results show that STEAM teaching mode for the lower grades of primary schools oriented to cultural inheritance is beneficial to improve students’ cognition of traditional culture,and has feasibility and practical significance.It supplements China’s local STEAM course resources,provides reference for domestic front-line teachers and researchers,and is conducive to the inheritance,continuation and development of excellent Traditional Chinese culture in the young generation.This study aims to design a practical model for STEAM teaching in the lower grades of primary schools for cultural inheritance,so as to make it more standardized and systematic,and to dig deeply into traditional thought and culture in terms of thinking level and internalization of values.It provides reference and guidance for teachers and scholars in the study of localized STEAM education.
