A Study On The New Immigrants From The Hometown Of Overseas Chinese In Southern Fujian

The southern part of Fujian Province is a key overseas Chinese hometown.It has a long history of immigration to overseas.After the outbreak of the "Cultural Revolution",the foreign-related concerning changes in policy and public security entry-exit institutions paralyzed influence.The overseas migration of traditional overseas Chinese residents was interrupted until the early 1970 s,with the adjustment of the country's foreign strategy and the relaxation of the immigration policy,the traditional Chinese hometown of overseas Chinese such as Fujian,Guangdong and Zhejiang restarted the pace of foreign immigrants,and the first wave of new immigrants appeared in the southern part of Fujian.After the reform and opening up,with the changes in the domestic and international environment and the further easing of China's immigration policy,foreign immigrants have grown steadily,forming a large-scale and influential group of immigrants overseas.So new immigrants have also become the hotspot for the overseas Chinese departments at all levels and academic circles after the 1990 s,and have also become a focus of work for the relevant overseas Chinese departments at all levels.As a part of the new immigrant groups,new immigrants from overseas Chinese in southern Fujian have both characteristics and commonalities in terms of immigration process and local survival compared with new immigrants nationwide.This study hopes to pass through the history and the analysis of the status quo of new immigrants from southern Fujian,and deepens understanding of this new immigrant group,and thus,to better understand and grasp the common problems faced by the new immigrant groups,to provide reference for decision-making in relevant departments And suggestions.This paper comprehensively uses the methods of literature analysis and field investigation to study the history of the formation and development of new immigrants in the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian,with the new immigrants in southern Fujian and especially in Jinjiang area as the main research objects.The full text includes three parts,namely the first chapter is introduction,the second to fourth chapters,and the fifth chapter is conclusion.The second to fourth chapters are the main body of the full text.In three historical periods,from the early1970 s to the end of the 1980 s,the 1990 s,and the beginning of the 21 st century,the history of the formation and development of new immigrants in the hometown ofoverseas Chinese was carried out.In each period,the paper explores the historical background,immigration motives,immigration methods and approaches,sources and flows,survival and development status of the formation and development of new immigrants in the hometown of overseas Chinese in southern Fujian,and discusses the characteristics of immigration in each period.The analysis has systematically and comprehensively reconstructed the development history of new immigrants from overseas Chinese in the 1970 s.Among them,the second chapter of the fourth chapter is the main chapter that reflects this research as a practical countermeasure research.The content mainly focuses on the current situation of the immigrants in the hometown of overseas Chinese,and discusses the existing problems and puts forward suggestions for countermeasures for reference by relevant departments.
