Since the reform and opening up,a large number of rural surplus labor began to transfer from the countryside to the city,which formed a "huge flow about migrant workers".But in the meantime,due to the segmentation of household registration system in urban and rural,and mass unemployment resulting from financial crisis and so on,there're also a growing number of migrant workers returning home for employment.After entering the new era,with the promoting of construction of new socialist countryside and the development of township economy,migrant workers' returning for employment has also become a norm and attracted much attention in academia.The issue of migrant workers' returning home is a matter concerns not only the livelihood of themselves and there family,but also the long-term development both in economy and society of out country.Knowing about the the willingness of returning home for employment of migrant workers and it's influence factors,then guiding migrant workers to make a rational decision about whether they need to return or not can help them to realize the potential of themselves and achieve their value,which is also an important way to resolving the “three rural issues” and promote the construction of a new socialist countryside.Shandong is one of the provinces which have huge population of rural migrant workers,more than sixty percent of migrant workers are working out of their county.Based on relevant theories and literature,this research studies on willingness of returning home for employment of migrant workers in Shandong Province by questionnaire survey and reveal it's factors belonging to four aspects:individual characteristics,family characteristics,working condition,and employment environment in hometown.So that we can understand migrant workers' returning better.This paper mainly includes five chapters.Firstly,Introduction:it describes the background and significance of the topic,the research status,study methods and ideas,structure of the article,innovation and deficiency of the article.Secondly,Concepts and Theoretical Basis:this chapter is the definition of related concepts like "migrant worker" "return home" and "employment",and theoretical basis including theories of labormigration,employment choice and hierarchy of needs.Thirdly,descriptive analysis of samples:it has retrospect of migrant-workers' homebound wave since the founding of our country and a brief introduction of Shandong Province and a descriptive analysis about willingness of returning home for employment of migrant workers in Shandong Province and it's influence factors based on 271 samples.Fourth,quantitative analysis:it uses a Logit model to study influence factors of migrant works' willingness of returning home for employment.in the result,some factors have a significant impact:age,health,cost of children's education and parents' support,etc.Finally,conclusion and suggestions:This part gives the conclusion,and in order to improve the employment environment,lead migrant-workers to move rationally,and let the returning and the outgoing do better in their work,this chapter comes up with suggestions in four aspects:migrant worker,enterprise,government and society.
