Objective: High school biology course is one of the important courses in the field of science.It is one of the methods to cultivate students' scientific thinking to interpret phenomena and explore life rules by using models and the thinking mode of modeling.In order to understand the basic situation of using models to construct teaching for high school biology teachers in Shihezi area,the author puts forward some Suggestions.To analyze whether using model to construct teaching is beneficial to students' learning and interest in biology;By sorting out the general steps of the model construction method,this paper provides some references for the first-line biology teachers to apply this teaching method effectively.Methods: This research adopts literature method,induction and summary method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and action research method.Taking the "molecule and cell" module as an example,two classes with similar overall level were selected for the control experimental practice teaching research.The experimental class was taught with the teaching strategy of model construction,and the control class was taught in the form of conventional teaching.The collected data were analyzed with Excel and SPSS software and the corresponding conclusions were drawn.Results: This paper summarizes the research background,relevant theoretical basis,and research status at home and abroad,and summarizes the model construction and problem-solving types involved in the biology college entrance examination questions in the past five years.71 biology teachers from 121,125 and 143 regimental schools in Shihezi city of Xinjiang construction corps were investigated by questionnaire and interview.High school biology teachers have a certain cognition of biological models,and agree that the teaching strategy of model construction can promote students' biological knowledge,skills and scientific literacy.Because model construction consumes time in lesson preparation and class,teachers generally do not pay attention to model construction teaching,and there are some problems such as the use of model and the monotonous way of model construction.Practice teaching summarizes the steps of model construction teaching.The results of biology single subject and biology interest scale before and after four unified examinations of the whole grade were taken as the evaluation criteria of experimental results,which were obtained through the independent sample t test.There was a significant difference between the biological performance of the experimental class and the control class after one semester of study.Conclusion: Compared with the conventional teaching method,using the model construction teaching in high school biology class can improve students' single subject grades of biology and students' learning interest in biology.
