Geographic core literacy is a very hot research topic recently.The influence of personality psychology on geography teaching is very obvious,and cognitive style is its typical representative,so the status of cognitive style cannot be ignored.The study of the correlation between the two can give teachers guidance on more effective teaching methods,and can also provide students with more guidance on learning methods,and is conducive to enriching the correlation studies between the two.In this study,200 students from the high school general liberal arts class in Xinzheng City,Henan Province were selected as the research objects.Influence of Differences in Cognitive Styles of High School Students on Geographical Core Literacy Acquisition was studied by using literature analysis,questionnaire survey,personal interview and SPSS statistical methods.The author first determined the relevant concepts and the type of cognitive style of the students through the questionnaire scores,and then,after using SPSS statistical method,carried out the significance test to find the P value,and analyzed the correlation and significant characteristics of cognitive style and geographic core literacy.Finally,based on the analysis results,the author conducted a deep discussion on the educational impact of the research results,and summarized the results of the discussion.It is concluded that thedifferences in cognitive style have a certain correlation to the acquisition of geographic core literacy.The author classified and explained eight advantageous and disadvantageous cognitive styles.(1)For the coordinated humans and nature literacy,the advantageous cognitive style is field independent-contemplative,without obvious disadvantageous cognitive style.(2)For comprehensive thinking literacy,the advantageous cognitive styles are field independent-contemplative,contemplative and field dependent-contemplative,and the disadvantageous cognitive style is impulsive.(3)For regional cognitive literacy,the advantageous cognitive styles are field dependent-impulsive,field dependent and field dependent-contemplative,the disadvantageous cognitive styles are impulsive and field independent-impulsive.(4)For geographical practical ability,the advantageous cognitive styles are field independent-impulsive and field independent-contemplative,and the disadvantageous cognitive style is impulsive.Through the analysis of eight different cognitive styles and the conclusions of the correlation between different cognitive styles and geographic core literacy,the author provides several suggestions for geography teachers and students.Teachers and students should enrich their cognitive style theory and geographic core literacy.Geography teachers should focus on the use of group discussion,self-directed method,situational teaching and multiple methods of geographyevaluation based on different cognitive styles,so as to improve the knowledge level of geographic core literacy.
