Research On The Current Situation Of Cultivating College Students' Volunteerism

As a noble moral cultivation and value orientation,volunteerism is also one of the benchmarks for the development of modern civilized society.Actively promoting volunteerism can cultivate and practice the core values of socialism,vigorously promote the building of socialist spiritual civilization,and help build a socialist harmonious society.Among the many groups that actively cultivate and practice the spirit of volunteerism,the group of college students is undoubtedly a main force.Their understanding,recognition and practice of volunteerism are closely related to their own healthy development of their thoughts.Cultivating volunteerism in the group of college students can not only promote the cultivation of volunteerism in the whole society,but also input fresh blood for expanding the volunteer team.More importantly,we can guide college students to actively practice volunteerism,to train builders and successors of socialist cause with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physique,beauty and labor.Therefore,it is especially important to do a good job in cultivating college students' volunteer spirit.On the basis of summarizing and sorting out the research status of volunteerism,this study inquires into the value of volunteerism cultivation to college students' ideological and political education.Today,cultivating volunteerism among college students is of great practical significance.In order to understand the current situation of cultivating volunteerism,we randomly selected 800 college students in seven universities in Wuhan as the sample of investigation,which includes the basic situation of students,the basic knowledge of volunteerism,the motivation of participating in volunteer activities and the basic situation of practicing volunteerism.Questionnaire survey was conducted.The survey shows that the current college students' understanding of the connotation of volunteerism is not enough,and the connotation of volunteerism is not integrated with practice.At the same time,due to the influence of the value transformation in the current social transformation period,university students have a utilitarian tendency in their motivation to participate in voluntary activities.The imperfection of the operation and management mechanism of university volunteer activities and the insufficient support and support of relevant administrative departments have led to the deviation of College Students' awareness of volunteerism,the insufficient integration of volunteerism cultivation and ideological and political education of College students,and the creation of volunteerism cultivation mechanism,organizational ability and content of volunteer activities in Colleges and universities.There are some shortcomings inthe new aspects.The study suggests that the promotion and cultivation of College Students' volunteerism should be strengthened through three ways: strengthening their recognition and practice of volunteerism,innovating the cultivation mechanism and increasing publicity efforts.College students' volunteerism is the core of college students' dedication,friendship,mutual assistance and progress.It takes helping others and devoting society as its value pursuit,combines mutual assistance and interaction,and integrates professional skills with humanistic care.Strengthening the cultivation of College Students' volunteerism is not only the proper meaning of higher education,but also an effective way to promote the all-round development of College students.
