The rapid development of science and technology and information technology in the 21 st century has promoted a series of fundamental changes in learning from form to content.Learning to learn has become an important criterion for measuring talents in the information society and a basic need for human survival in today's society.With the development of basic education in our country,the new curriculum reform takes "basic knowledge,basic skills and methods adapting to lifelong learning and lifelong development" as its training objective,and the current focus of education has shifted from "learning" to "learning".Under the influence of the knowledge explosion and economic globalization,human beings have to learn for life,especially learning to learn.The U.S.Department of Labor has incorporated learning into one of the most basic skills of citizens of the century.To help students learn to learn,become lifelong learners,and adapt to the background of the times,the first task is to cultivate students' learning ability.The study of learning ability conforms to the current trend of educational research and has important research value and significance.Learning ability is one of the most important abilities of primary and secondary school students in the information age,and it is very important for the growth of students.The junior middle school stage is an important stage of students' thinking,emotion,personality and social development.The learning ability of junior middle school students has become a key factor affecting the realization of efficient learning and lifelong development of junior middle school students.But at present,the cultivation of students' learning ability is difficult,and there are some problems.The courses,activities and methods of cultivating students' learning ability are obviously inadequate,and students' learning ability has not been well cultivated.STEM education is based on the concept of interdisciplinary knowledge integration,with the help of technical means,aiming at cultivating students' interdisciplinary problem-solving ability.It emphasizes that students should cultivate their cooperative ability,practical ability,problem-solving ability and innovation ability on the basis of mastering scientific,technical,engineering and mathematical knowledge,so as to achieve the goal of cultivating students' learning ability.As it happens,STEM courses can be used to cultivate students' learning ability.Therefore,this study puts the cultivation of students' learning ability in STEM education,develops STEM courses that can cultivate students' learning ability,and applies them to teaching practice in order to provide reference value for the cultivation of students' learning ability.The main research methods used in this study are literature research,experimental method,design research method and interview method.Through the method of literature research,we can understand the development and application of STEM curriculum for junior high school students' learning ability training,and clarify the relevant concepts,so as to provide theoretical basis for this study.Through interviews with middle school teachers and students,we can understand the current situation of learning ability and STEM curriculum.According to the interview results,the reasons for the problems are analyzed,the needs of curriculum development are analyzed,the curriculum development model is constructed and STEM curriculum is designed according to the actual needs.Through the design research method and the existing curriculum development theory,this paper constructs the STEM curriculum development model for students' learning ability training,and designs the corresponding STEM curriculum according to the model.Finally,the experimental research is designed to apply the developed STEM course to classroom teaching.According to the established evaluation criteria and the experimental data of the pre-test and post-test,it evaluates whether the students' learning ability has been effectively improved after they have passed the STEM course.Firstly,through the study of the relevant literature,this paper summarizes the relevant research results and conclusions of learning ability and STEM curriculum at home and abroad,and combs and analyses them as the theoretical basis of this study.Secondly,based on the current theory of curriculum development,and through investigation and interviews,the STEM curriculum development model for junior high school students' learning ability training is constructed,and the STEM curriculum which can effectively cultivate junior high school students' learning ability is designed according to the actual needs.Through the research on the evaluation of learning ability and STEM curriculum,and based on this theory,this paper studies the evaluation of STEM curriculum for junior high school students' learning ability training.Finally,through the development of experimental research and data analysis,this paper explores the application effect of STEM course for junior high school students' learning ability training.
