Study On The Positioning Of Higher Education In The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

The construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area aims to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the region,of which education has a fundamental and long-term significance.There are many types of higher education in the Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao,and each with its own characteristics and complementarity.However,the economic,technological and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is not a common appeal of higher education.With such a top-level design,it is impossible to lead the development of higher education clusters.Therefore,it is of strategic significance to study the pioneering development of higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.This study takes the positioning of higher education in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as the research theme,and follows the logic of “why to position”,“how to position,and “what to position”.The purpose is to provide a goal for the development of higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.The main contents are as follows:First,the demand for higher education in the construction of the positioning of higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is an important prerequisite for the positioning of higher education,and it is also an urgent question to be answered;Second,focusing on the demand for higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and sorting out the situation of higher education in Guangdong,Hong Kong and Macau is another important prerequisite for the positioning of higher education.Third,a typical study of higher education in the world's three major Bay Areas is designed to answer the "how to position".Grasping the positioning goal of higher education,we must focus on the status quo of higher education development,and study the higher education development of world-class Bay Areas from the perspective of international comparison;Fourth,the positioning target of higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is proposed by the construction of an integrated framework for the positioning of higher education,which is the core issue to be solved in the study.It is found that the higher education cooperation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has not achieved satisfactory results.One of the important reasons is the lack of strategic goals for the coordinated development of higher education in the three places.To this end,the higher education of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is positioning as a Global-regional Higher Education center for the “Belt and Road”,which enables the higher education of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to develop cooperatively with its necessity and feasibility.
