In the Biology Curriculum Standards for Full-time Compulsory Education(Experimental Draft),it is clearly pointed out that in biology teaching,we should advocate changing the students' single way of learning,guiding them to participate actively,be willing to explore,be diligent in doing things,gradually cultivating students' ability of collecting and processing scientific information,acquiring new knowledge,analyzing and solving problems,and communicating and cooperating,etc.,and stress the cultivation of innovative spirit and practical ability.Biology activity course in middle school is a diversified form of biology teaching with the reform of basic education curriculum.It mainly embodies the new theory of education and teaching with students as the main body.The diversification of biology activity course teaching forms is not only conducive to arousing students' interest in learning,but also to cultivating students' comprehensive ability.It has a positive role in promoting students 'all-round development and it is an important way to develop biological core literacy of students.Therefore,it is an important way out for the teaching reform of biology course to make full use of and attend the biology activity course.However,the implementation and promotion of the biology activity course in the actual middle school biology teaching is still slow,which has caused some obstacles to the realization of the teaching objectives of the new biology curriculum reform in middle school.Therefore,relevant investigation and analysis on the current situation of the biological activity class were carried out in the first grade of a middle school in Chongqing,in order to provide reference for the better development of the biological activity class in the middle school.In this paper,470 junior high school students and 6 junior high school biology teachers in a school in Chongqing were investigated by questionnaire and interview.Data analysis was conducted through the use of Excel and SPSS22.0.The current situation is as follows:(1)The students are interested in the development of biological activity class,but the development of biological activity class in the first grade of junior middle school is not satisfactory.Among them,62.3% of the students expressed great interest in the development of biological activity class,only 3.4% of the students expressed little or no interest,but 60% of the students said that they had only participated in biological activity class 0-2 times in a semester.(2)The students depend more on the teachers in the biological activity class.More than 70% of the students in the survey said that they needed different levels of help from teachers in biological activity classes.(3)Teachers think that it is difficult to carry out the activity class.Through interviews with teachers,it is found that biology teachers have difficulties in teaching design and process control.(4)There were significant differences(P < 0.05)in cognition,attitude,participation and feedback of biology activity classes among students of different levels in this grade,and the higher the class level,the higher the score(the class level was divided into three categories: A,B and C according to the entrance score).Through the comparison of the differences,it is found that there are significant differences in the degree of interest(P=0.009 < 0.01)among students in A,B and C classes,identity(P=0.001 < 0.01),willingness to participate(P=0.006 < 0.01),preview and summary work(P=0.000 < 0.01).There were significant differences(P = 0.001 < 0.01)in the degree of effective guidance from teachers.The higher the class level,the higher the score.(5)There are significant differences in the degree of independence of students of different genders in biological activity classes,and boys are more independent.The survey found that there were no significant differences(P >0.05)in the perception and attitude of students of different genders to the biology activity class and their feedback to the biology activity class.There were significant differences(P=0.039 < 0.05)in the degree of independence of students of different genders in biological activity class.Boys were more independent than girls in activity class.In view of the current situation of biological activity class in the first grade of junior middle school,corresponding suggestions was put forward from the aspects of strengthening the development of biological activity class,perfecting the evaluation system of biological activity class,attaching importance to the training of teachers' teaching ability of biological activity class,layered teaching,etc.Finally,the teaching design and practice are carried out around the relevant strategies of the biology activity class teaching,and the problems that should be paid attention to in the biology activity class teaching of junior high school are summarized through practical reflection,in order to provide reference for the biology activity class teaching.
