| Research background: sports participation behavior,not only can directly reflect people's cognition of sports activities,feelings and values,and in some extent can also indirectly reflects the people on the development of the sports demand and demand content.However,China's public sports service cannot satisfy residents of the rapid growth of demand for sports fitness,unsatisfactory current situation of public sports services,area between non balanced development,public sports service target and the demand of the public sports deviate from the problems become more and more serious,causing residents in our country in the field of public sports service's access to opportunities,results and surface is much lower than that of urban residents.Research purposes: to urban and rural residents sports participation behavior research,through the contrast analysis of residents of different social and economic structure of sports participation behavior formation mechanism,clear influence rural residents and urban residents sports participation behavior of socioeconomic variables,econometric model is introduced,then carries on the empirical research,in order to provide realistic theory reference for the government in the formulation of public sports service strategy.Research methods: CHNS2011 was used to investigate the urban and rural residents Chinese sports participation behavior,the behavior is to clarify the factors behind the differences,using descriptive statistics and chi square test to examine the basic situation of China rural sports participation and the differences in gender,age,marital status,birth,income level,education level,occupation type the use of cluster analysis;urban and rural residents to participate in physical verification Chinese stratified to examine and Chinese,urban and rural residents will be divided into different layers;using multiple correspondence analysis to examine the association of urban and rural residents China people of various sports participation and group demography,sociology among variables;using hierarchical Logistic regression analysis further examined to verify influence the factors of urban and rural residents to participate in sports China the differences in behavior.Finally in order to verify the hypothesis of this study:(1)China's urban and rural residents in sports participation behavior exist differences between urban and rural areas;(2)of urban and rural residents' sports participation in groups and non participation in groups,between the different groups involved in sports participation behavior influence mechanism is different;(3)the difference is limited to demographic variables and social variables;Research results:(1)China's urban and rural residents in sports participation behavior differences.Urban residents sports participation probability was significantly higher than that of rural residents,sports participation behavior in the demographic variables of gender,age,marital status,sociological variables income level,education level,occupation type differences;(2)of urban and rural residents' sports participation in groups and non participation in groups,between the different groups involved in sports participation behavior.For China's urban and rural sports in groups and non participating group,birth age,marital status as the division of urban and rural residents' sports participation and non participation in the effects of the common factors,occupation,education level influence of Chinese urban residents sports participation and non participation and personality factors.The specific performance is that the probability of participation in sports of urban residents is mainly affected by the demographic variables of the age of birth,marital status,education level and income level.From the date of birth,city residents overall adult light lucky generation,transformation and generation,only a generation for multiple people;from the point of view of marital status,urban residents sports participation in groups dominated by unmarried and married population;urban residents sports participation in groups and non participating groups appear high level of education and low education degree of sports participation probability,while the small probability the trend of secondary level of education,sports participation;rural residents' sports participation and non participation in groups is mainly influenced by age,marital status.In performance with the growth of the age,show a downward trend of participation in physical education,and marital status in widowed group in the rural residents' sports participation accounted for the largest proportion,namely sports participation probability higher than other categories of marriage;(3)the difference is limited to demographic variables and social variables.The characteristics of urban and rural residents' demographic and social variables in the same layer are different.The performance characteristics of the entertainment city groups to relax first groups of male and female uniform distribution,a lost generation,a generation of population,diversified career,mostly medium and low income crowd;the city population competition activity groups characterized by male dominated,traditional generation,lost generation,transformation a generation to occupy most,married,widowed people to account for the majority,in group classes are becoming diversified,and high income population level mostly,for the characteristics of the rural population physical fitness activity groups,mostly female,mostly,a high level of income,marital status unmarried,in the marriage of gregarious,traditional generation,transformation generation is in the majority.City group 4 body shaping group syndrome female dominated,traditional generation,a lost generation,lucky generation mostly,married,divorced people mostly,occupational in most of the patients,marital status unmarried,married,divorced people majority.Research conclusions:(1)the differences of sports participation behavior between urban and rural residents in china;(2)the influence mechanism of sports participation between urban and rural residents and non participation groups,and between different participation groups;(3)the difference is limited by the demographic and sociological variables.The characteristics of urban and rural residents' demographic and social variables in the same layer are different;(4)for China City,rural sports participation of different groups,gender,age,marital status,income level of four factors is significant for city and rural residents into different groups of sports participation;occupation types in Chinese City,Rural Recreation differences between groups,while in group competition activities physical activity,fitness groups,shaping activity groups were diversified,no significant difference;education for
