Investigation And Analysis On The Life Satisfaction Of Migrant Workers' Children

Since 1978,China has been steadfast in efforts to develop urbanization.A large number of rural residents have left their hometown to work in cities,contributing to urban construction.Family migration is becoming more and more popular with the increasing demand for urban labor,therefor is a large group of migrant worker's children came into being.They were forced to leave the land that grew up into an ideologically different environment,and family members were unable to accompany them because of the changes in their income.The great changes in family and living environment have great influence on these young people,but their growth is often ignored and despised.In the critical stage of children's growth,if they are not able to get correct guidance and sufficient subjective satisfaction,they will have a serious impact on the future of the children and may eventually cause serious social problems.After referring to the related literatures,the author found some differences in the life satisfaction of children from different cities.In order to understand the overall life subject well-being of migrant workers' children in Shanghai,find possible problems,and put forward the improvement program according to local conditions.This study conducted a questionnaire survey on the life satisfaction of 1308 students from first grade to third grade in 4 schools in Songjiang District,Shanghai,interviewed with 46 students and parents,and home visited to 13 families.From the perspective of questionnaire,it is found that the subject well-bing of the children of the migrant workers in the family,friends,life and self cognition is lower than that of the local students.At the same time,through the analysis of the gender,grade and the nature of the school,it was found that the satisfaction of male students is slightly lower than that of the girls,the life satisfaction of the migrant students and the grade of them are related,and student satisfaction in public schools is generally higher than the others who study in private schools.Through interviewed with parents of students to understand the reasons for the difference,and according to the relevant admission policies and actual situation.Put forward the improvement program about improve the students' subject well-being around school education,pay attention to the psychological growth of boys,improve the residence time of the migrant families and rational distribution of educational resources.
