In Indonesia,there are more people learning Chinese.Not only Chinese,but also Indonesian locals have become interested in learning Chinese.As a result,many Indonesian kindergartens have begun to offer Chinese language courses as a second language for early childhood learning.This article takes the Jakarta Methodist Kindergarten as an example to discuss which are the teaching methods used by Indonesian Chinese teachers in the Chinese language classes for children,what are the advantages and disadvantages of these methods,how should we use teaching methods to improve Chinese teaching in the future teaching and the efficiency of the children to improve their interest in learning.This paper mainly uses the method of classroom observation and case analysis to investigate the effect of Chinese teaching in Jakarta Methodist Kindergarten School.Since I teach at Methodist Kindergarten School,I am very familiar with the Chinese teaching situation and the strength of teachers teaching in the school,Therefore,through this research,I hope to analyze the advantages of Chinese teaching in Methodist Kindergarten school and the existing problems,in order to provide help for further improving the Chinese teaching level in Methodist Kindergarten school and to provide reference for Indonesian Childrens Chinese teaching.The main contents of this paper include introduction,an overview of Indonesian Chinese teaching methods for kindergarten,analysis of Chinese teaching cases and teaching methods in Jakarta Methodist School,reflections on Chinese teaching methods in Jakarta Methodist School and also related suggestions.The first chapter mainly expounds the background and significance of the topic,the research object and purpose,summarizes the current research results of the Chinese teaching methods for kindergarten,and proposes the research methods of this paper.The second chapter describes the Chinese teaching methods used by Jakarta Methodist Kindergarten.The text mainly lists four teaching methods,namely the intuitive method,the translation method,the totally physical response method,and the game teaching method.The third chapter is the analysis of Chinese teaching cases and teaching methods in Jakarta Methodist Kindergarten.The fourth part is to reflect on the problems reflected in the teaching cases and propose relevant teaching suggestions.Through investigation and analysis,this paper believes that each teaching method has advantages and disadvantages.So sometimes in a class,several methods are needed in combination to achieve a good teaching effect.I hope that the research in this paper will help kindergarten student who do not live in Chinese speaking environment.
