Thinking ability is an important representation of the core quality of the discipline,and geographical thinking ability is the key to the formation of the core quality of the geography discipline.Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform in 2017,school education has paid more and more attention to the cultivation of geographical thinking ability.Geography inquiry activity is the combination of inquiry teaching and activity teaching.It is the teaching method of combining students' learning and teachers'teaching advocated by the new curriculum.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to combine the two.This paper is based on Lin Chongde's three-edged-thinking-structure theory,constructivism theory and related psychology,pedagogy and geography teaching theory.Combined with the thinking nature and geographical characteristics of geographical thinking,the connotation of geographical thinking ability is established-According to the comprehensiveness and spatiality of geography,it is established that spatial thinking ability and comprehensive thinking ability are the core contents of geographical thinking ability.According to the characteristics of geographical exploration activities and the structural characteristics of geographical thinking,this paper analyzes the suitability of exploration activities for the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability.On the basis of theoretical research,this paper analyzes the relevant cases of geographical exploration activity design,and summarizes the main problems existing in the current exploration activity design on the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability,which are as follows:the goal design is not clear enough,the thinking orientation is low;the selection of materials is not suitable for exploration,the thinking depth is shallow;the situation creation is not sufficient,the thinking space is insufficient;the students' consciousness of problem is weak,and the thinking of problem is shallow;the design of inquiry process logic is contrary to the logic of subject;the activity "geographical taste" is insufficient,the geographical nature of thinking is deficient;the process evaluation is extreme,the thinking evaluation consciousness is weak.According to the above problems,the corresponding optimization strategies of the design of inquiry activities are put forward:reflect the goal thinking orientation,optimize the objectives of inquiry activities;enhance the amount of thinking activities,carefully select the contents of inquiry;provide the background of thinking activities,carefully create the situation of questions;guide students to find problems,design the logical question chain;analyze the geographical thinking methods,construct the process of inquiry activities;based on comprehensiveness and spatiality,enhance the geographical nature of inquiry;summarize the ideas of problem-solving and pay attention to the evaluation of thinking structure.The first part:introduction.By combing the literature about "geographical thinking ability","geographical exploration activity" and the combination of the two,the research background,research significance,research methods and research direction of this study are determined.The second part:concept definition and theoretical basis.This paper defines the geographical thinking ability and defines its core contents:spatial thinking ability and comprehensive thinking ability.It also clarify the connotation,characteristics and implementation process of inquiry activities.Based on the characteristics of geographical exploration activities and the structural characteristics of geographical thinking,the suitability and relevance of the two are analyzed.The theories of psychology,geography teaching,thinking and constructivism are the main theoretical support of this paper.The third part:the current situation of inquiry activity design from the perspective of the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability.This paper analyzes the relevant cases of geographical exploration activities and finds out the main problems.The fourth part:the design strategy of inquiry activities is put forward based on the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability.On the basis of the third part,it puts forward the corresponding optimization suggestions and explains them with the relevant design cases of exploration activities.The fifth part:the application of the optimization strategy of the exploration activity design based on the cultivation of geographical thinking ability.According to the optimization suggestions,independently design specific cases of geographical exploration activities under the direction of the cultivation of students' geographical thinking ability.The six part:conclusion and prospect.Summarize the main conclusions,shortcomings and prospects of this study.
