Graduate education has shifted from scale expansion to connotative development.In this process,seeking the best ways and methods to ensure and improve the quality of graduate education is a current social concern.One of the key points to improve the quality of postgraduate education is to build a more scientific evaluation system for graduate education quality.Objectively evaluating the quality of postgraduate education cannot be simply “heavy results” and should focus on the whole process of postgraduate education activities.As an important part of total quality management,quality management is in line with the dynamic and comprehensive nature of postgraduate education quality.Establishing the whole process of postgraduate education quality is the trend of postgraduate education evaluation.This study examines the quality of graduate education from the perspective of quality management,and establishes a comprehensive view of the quality of graduate education.On this basis,from the three dimensions of input quality,process quality and result quality,a six indicators including student-teacher ratio,research funding for students,graduate education satisfaction,academic papers for outstanding students,ratio of outstanding graduation thesis,and employment rate are constructed.The quality index system for graduate education.Through the statistical analysis of data,the quantitative study of the quality of postgraduate education in Hunan Province in 2016 is carried out.Firstly,the method of dimensionless,linear programming and index generation is used to measure the quality index of graduate education,and to understand the absolute level of postgraduate education quality in Hunan universities.Cluster analysis of the results of index calculations to clarify the characteristics of graduate education quality and the relative level of each university.The results of data analysis show that the quality of the investment in the postgraduate education in Hunan provinces and the quality of the process are high,and the quality of the results is low.The quality level of postgraduate education in colleges and universities is not proportional to the reputation;the quality of input shows “scale effect” and the resource allocation is unreasonable;the satisfaction ranking of various factors in the quality of postgraduate education process has convergence,and the satisfaction of curriculum is “bottomed”;the quality of the results is uneven,basic Presented the "Matthew effect." According to the results analysis,it pays attention to the resources of students and optimizes the allocation of educational resources;emphasizes curriculum evaluation,rationally plans the curriculum system;pays attention to the quality of results,and improves the incentives and transformation mechanism of results to improve the quality of graduate education in Hunan Province.
