In the early 20 th century,Western developed countries began to study media literacy education.In today's society where media technology is developing at a high speed,media literacy has become one of the essential qualities of Chinese citizens.The aging of netizens is a problem worthy of attention.This study mainly uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and comparative research method to investigate the media literacy of urban and rural high school students in Linfen City.The questionnaire is mainly defined by media contact,media cognition,media application ability and media literacy education,and comprehensively investigates the media literacy of urban and rural high school students.This study studies the status of media literacy of urban and rural high school students through statistical survey data,and makes a comparative analysis.Based on this,it analyzes the influencing factors of media literacy based on urban and rural social development,family environment and age characteristics,and proposes urban and rural media literacy education.Development proposals.The study found that the current high school students group can generally access a variety of media,whether it is traditional media or new media is no stranger,have contact or even use.However,the choice of media for urban high school students is more biased towards the use of new media such as mobile phones and computers.Rural high school students still use traditional media such as television.Secondly,most high school students tend to be more entertaining when using media,and do not make full use of the media's knowledge,education,and information functions.Third,the media participation of high school students is not strong,and most of them are in a state of “passive” and “obeying”.The use of media to describe the active cognitive society and cultivate independent cognition needs to be strengthened.Fourth,the media literacy education in society and schools is relatively lagging.It cannot match the needs of high school students for media literacy at this stage.Most high school students hope to learn and understand the media in depth,but the corresponding media literacy education is not popular.Among them,the relevant education in the countryside should lag behind the city.The factors affecting media literacy include the following aspects: the degree of regional economic development affects the type of media contact;the urban and rural media education environment profoundly affects the media demand level of the audience;the difference between urban and rural technological innovation diffusion forms a digital divide;the parental cultural level affects the family media literacy education;Features affect media usage characteristics.Aiming at the problem of media literacy education for urban and rural high school students,it puts forward suggestions from the promotion of the common development of urban and rural media literacy education and the establishment of a comprehensive and interactive media literacy education model.In promoting the common development of urban and rural media literacy education,we must strengthen media literacy education regulations and policy support;second,we must improve the participation of social organizations in media literacy education;third,we must improve rural family media literacy;fourth,we must improve rural school media literacy education.In promoting the common development of urban and rural media literacy education,the mass media increased the promotion of media literacy education;media content production considerations should balance the needs of younger age groups;media literacy education programs should be launched to support schools and families;and media literacy education institutions should be promoted to promote education leaders.Effective development.
