The research selected respectively from different cities in Hebei province of urban and rural primary schools by using the literature analysis,questionnaire investigation and interview method.Then the author analyzed and had a roughly understanding of media literacy status and differences of urban and rural primary school students.The chart images intuitively showed the overall media literacy status as well as the contrast media literacy of urban and rural primary school students.The author seek measures multi-level and multi-angle to implement media literacy education from social reality.By comparing urban and rural primary school students' media literacy status,the research received following several conclusions: new media ownership and use frequency of city primary school students is higher than the rural primary school students;elementary student's basic knowledge of medium is generally poor;pupils treat the information cautiously and rationally,but there are differences between specific contents;urban pupils perform better in spreading and applying information,the ability of self-development is higher.The research embarks from the social reality and carries on the exploration of media literacy education from the following several aspects.Firstly schools should play a role as the leader of education,they have a favorabal condition in this respect;secondly society should provide a favorable environment,policy and media support is very necessary;finally family education is the important supplement,parents play a key role.These a few main bodies constitute the growth environment of students together,only joint efforts can achieve the development of media literacy education.
