In a media-oriented society,the relationship between people and the media has become inseparable.Only with basic media literacy can people calmly face the information conveyed by the media and correctly understand and criticize the information,so as to make the media serve our daily life.Therefore,it is important to improve media literacy.Among all kinds of groups,rural students are special.Due to the limitations of knowledge,skills,living and learning environment,there is a big difference between rural junior middle school students and other types of students in terms of media literacy.In this study,the author investigated and analyzed the media literacy of rural middle school students in northern jiangsu province.This study is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounds the research background,research objectives,research contents,research ideas and methods,as well as the significance of the research,and constructs the research framework of media literacy of rural junior middle school students.The second part is literature review,which mainly reviews the existing research on media literacy and media literacy of middle school students.The third part is the survey design,the research and design of the survey framework and questionnaire.The fourth part is the implementation and summary of the survey,using the questionnaire to quantitatively describe the status quo of the media literacy of rural junior middle school students in the author's work place,and at the same time introduces the relevant information of the interview.The analysis of data in this part is mainly sorted out from four aspects:sample information statistics,media information contact and use statistics,media information understanding statistics and media information critical statistics.The study found that the rural junior high school students lack correct understanding of media,there is a bias in the use of media,the ability to understand media information is weak,the ability to criticize media information is insufficient and so on.The fifth part is the strategies to improve the media literacy of rural junior middle school students.Based on the data collected in the fourth part and the research results of media literacy at home and abroad,the author tries to put forward the strategies to improve the media literacy of rural junior middle school students from the aspects of school,family and individuals.The sixth part is the summary and prospect.On the basis of the above,the conclusions and shortcomings of this study are summarized,and the next research direction of media literacy of rural junior middle school students is forecasted.
