According to "China population development report 2017",the report pointed out that in 2016 China's floating population was 245 million people, which was 1 million 710 thousand lower than that in the end of 2015.Some floating population have settled in the inflow areas and become new citizens. The proportion of the local floating population is closely related to the level of urbanization, and the migration and mobility of the population has become the most important driving factor in the process of urbanization.First, based on the 2016 national mobile population dynamic monitoring data, this paper studies the relationship between the floating population's residing preference, employment choice and family income through literature research and empirical research. Then we using the macroeconomic data of 2014-2016,that analyze the residing preference. It aims to clarify the key factors that affect the residing preference of the floating population. This paper is divided into six parts.First,in the introduction,we introduce the research background, research significance, research ideas and research framework,as well as domestic and foreign scholars' research on residing preference, employment and family income.Secondly,it is to elaborate the theoretical basis and provide theoretical support for the research. The third part is data source and descriptive statistics and analysis. It analyses the difference of residing preference of floating population with different characteristics. And we examine the correlation between family income, employment choice and residing preference. The fourth part is model construction and empirical analysis. In the whole country,Eastern,Central,Western and Northeast regions,We using Logistic model to study the relationship between the three factors of employment choice, family income and residing preference of floating population, which through the personal characteristics model, income factor model and income & employment choices model. We use 2014 and 2015 national floating population dynamic monitoring data to analyze the robustness of the results. The fifth part discusses the macro influence mechanism of residing preference. It was studied the factors that influence the residing preference from the macro-influencing factors.By analyzing the spatial correlation of data, and we establish an SEM model, which to analyze the macro factors influencing of residing preference. Finally, the conclusion and prospect. We summarize the main conclusions of this paper and put forward relevant policies, summarize the shortcomings of the article, and look forward to the future. This study found that: the floating population with residing preference reach more than 60% in each region, and the proportion of the floating population in the Northeast is the highest, reaching 71.43%.From the micro factors, most personal characteristics factors have a significant impact on the floating population residing preference, especially hukou, marital status, education, family living number, flow range and residence time. But gender is not the key factor affecting the residing preference, and it has no significant influence on the floating population. There are differences in the influence of personal characteristics on the residing preference in the Eastern,Central,Western and Northeast regions,While the difference is not significant. The residing preference of floating population increases with the increase of family income level. The employment choice factors of floating population have different effects on the floating population in different regions.Only in the Eastern and Western regions, the employment choice factors have a significant impact on the residing preference of the floating population. But the influence of employment choice between Eastern and Western is the opposite. The floating population in Eastern China has stronger residing preference. From the macro factors,it is found that there is a positive spatial correlation in the residing preference.Through the establishment of SEM model to analyze relevant data,it is found that employment factors, wage growth rate, urbanization rate, and educational expenditure growth rate have a significant impact on the migrants' residing preference.
