Peace is the eternal pursuit of mankind,and the connotation of peace has gradually evolved from the narrow sense of “peace is the absence of war” to “Peace is not only to eliminate wars,but also to eliminate all threats to human health development(such as hunger/poverty/violence/threats to human rights/refugee issues/global pollution,etc.),creating an environment conducive to the healthy and free development of people.” This article constructs the structural elements of the peace view and establishing the concept of peace in this study refers to people's perceptions(views)and evaluations(attitudes)of peace,which is basis on a review of related research on the peace view and related research on peace education.Among them,peace perceptions(views)mainly include three dimensions: direct peace,structural peace,and cultural peace;peace evaluation(attitudes)include three dimensions: personal,national,and international.Formal questionnaire eventually formed by the interviews with 15 students of East China University of Political Science and Law and the distribution and recovery of 300 prediction questionnaires.A total of 1300 questionnaires were formally issued for nine universities in Shanghai,and 930 valid samples were retrieved.The questionnaire data was analyzed and processed using SPSS 22.0.Descriptive statistics,multivariate analysis of variance,multiple linear regression,and Pearson correlation coefficients were used to derive statistical results.It analyzes the status quo and influencing factors of contemporary college students' outlook on peace,and finally proposes teaching methods and tactics that are conducive to the current education of university students' peace outlook.The specific conclusions are as follows: 1.As a whole,the contemporary university students' view of peace is not comprehensive in peace perceptions,but the peace evaluation is relatively positive.Specifically,undergraduates have a poor understanding of the structural peace(violence)and cultural peace(violence)of peace perceptions;the peace evaluation of college students is ranked from the highest level to the individual level,the national level,and the international level.2.From the perspective of different backgrounds,there are differences in the concept of peace among college students from different backgrounds.For example,women are more active than men in the concept of peace;Christians,Buddhists,Taoists,and non-religious students have higher levels of peace awareness than Islam;students of other political identities are more aware of structural violence than Communist Party members and the Communist Youth League;the only child and youngest child are more aware of the dimension of direct violence than the eldest child and the middle child;the family economy is relatively poor,the rural and non-local university students are more highly rated at the national social aspect than than the family economy is more prosperous,the city and local university students;language schools,and students with 0-3 month experience of going abroad are more active at the personal level of peace evaluation;the evaluation of literature and history,and finance at the individual level is higher than that of science and engineering;freshman are more positive at the national level's political and economic aspect of peace evaluation,seniors are more active at the national level's social aspect;the peace evaluation of the college students who receive 1 or 2 peace educations per semester is the most positive;the degree of understanding of peace education among the college students is positively correlated with the peace perception and evaluation.The degree of understanding of non-violence among college students is positively correlated with peace perception and peace assessment;the university students who believe that theirlives are relatively peaceful are the most comprehensive and active in peace perception and peace evaluation.3.From the factors that affect the university students' peace concept,gender,religion,political identity,family economic situation,source of origin,household registration,school,grade,experience of going abroad,understanding of peace education,awareness of non-violence,and evaluation of current life are the main factors that affects the concept of peace of university students.Finally,from the perspective of educators,we propose three teaching methods and tactics that are conducive to the education of the current concept of peace among college students: the first is to construct a peaceful view of Marxism and traditional Chinese culture from the content of ideological and political education,the second is to focus on cultivating a positive attitude towards peace and a comprehensive capacity for peace among the students,the third is on education methods,focusing on personalized education and non-formal education.
