Based on Michael's classification criteria of learning strategies: cognitive strategies,metacognitive strategies,and resource management strategies,this study takes the fifth and sixth grade students as the research objects.On the basis of this,a comprehensive questionnaire survey and interviews are used.Case study and other research methods are used to investigate and analyze the present situation of mathematics learning strategies of senior primary school students.The results show that:(1)students in the higher grade of primary school have begun to unconsciously apply mathematics learning strategies to monitor their learning status,but the overall application level is not high.The students of grade six in primary school have a better understanding of mathematics learning strategies than those in grade five.(2)Due to gender differences,there are some differences in the cognition and application of mathematics learning strategies between boys and girls in senior primary schools,and the level of girls is slightly higher than that of boys.(3)in the same school learning environment,The degree of attention paid by parents to students' mathematics learning,the degree of students' participation in class,and the seriousness of learning attitude have a certain influence on the formation of their learning strategies.The main problems of mathematics learning strategies of senior primary school students are: lack of knowledge of mathematics learning strategies and weak consciousness of using mathematics learning strategies.Through interviews and case studies,it is found that although the mathematics strategy problems of the senior grade students in primary schools are manifested in the students,the formation of the problems is caused by many factors,such as family parents,school teachers,students themselves and so on.The main reason is that teachers lack the awareness of learning strategies for a long time.Finally,in view of the problems found in the investigation,this paper puts forward some suggestions for improving the mathematics learning strategies of the senior primary school students from the teachers' side: to understand the true situation of the students' mathematics learning strategies,and to provide opportunities for them.To instruct students to apply mathematics learning strategies in practice.
