Research On The Current Situation Of Rural Women's Views On Marriage And Childbearing In Guizhou From The Perspective Of Gender

Marital status was closely related to farmers' own happiness and rural family stability,as well as rural social stability.In the current social background of Guizhou,where the majority of unmarried men and rural children lost their mothers,it was of great practical significance to understand the current situation of rural women 's views on marriage and childbearing through empirical investigation.In this paper,300 rural women of childbearing age(15-49 years old)from Taijiang county,Weng 'an county,Shuicheng county,Yanhe county and Liping county in Guizhou province were investigated and studied from the perspectives of marriage,fertility and upbringing by questionnaire and interview.Results show that: in terms of mate choice,most rural women tend to through the way of asking for ideological of however in behavior could not abide by the traditional thinking "arranged" of the parents,most of the rural women can have economic worries for the future of marriage,so they mate choice was not only seek economic condition good object directly,and was more inclined to choose someone who had a good character,good health and a high degree of culture,men had the potential to create economic,most would choose much fewer objects and their age;In the aspect of fertility,rural women's conception of fertility was not completely free from the influence of traditional thinking.Many rural women believed that the main purpose of childbearing was to "carry on the family line",and there was a strong desire to bear children and a certain degree of gender preference.Generally speaking,there are more women who prefer boys than girls.In parenting,though rural women,says children were important to maintaining the stability of marriage,but more than half of the women said raising children too much economic pressure,economic pressure to become they gave up the child and family to sought the ideal life was one of the driving force,in addition,the man's performance(a third party,with "Drugs,Gambling and Prostitution",domestic violence)most women agree that the biggest factor that give up the child and family.To this end,this paper analyzed the factors affecting rural women 's view ofmarriage and child-rearing from the individual level,family level and social level.On the individual level,their views on marriage and children were influenced by economic level,educational level,role adaptation and gender consciousness.Family level was influenced by family structure and family status.The social level was influenced by the peer group,community culture and social media.For this,this article put forward the following Suggestions: make full use of rural economic growth,balance raise the level of economy,strengthening the family sense of responsibility to study,called for legislation of family education,optimize the environment of rural culture,improve the overall cultural level,to carry out the social gender education,enhance social gender consciousness and correct play a guiding role of social media.
