"Employment is the biggest livelihood of the people." This is a statement made by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC and a very clear fact about the people's livelihood in China at present.In the report on the work of the government in 2019,Premier Li Keqiang,in the part of "Overall Requirements and Policy Orientation for Economic and Social Development in 2019",proposed that this year,for the first time,the employment priority policy should be placed at the macro-policy level.Li Keqiang said: "As long as employment is stable and income increases,we will have more confidence." From this we can see that the Party and the government attach great importance to the employment problem,but at the same time,there are great difficulties in solving the employment problem.In the past ten years since 2007,the annual growth rate of postgraduate enrollment has mostly maintained at about 4%,while in 2017 the growth rate of postgraduate enrollment has expanded to 22%.In 1978,there were 10 708 graduate students enrolled.In 2017,the number of graduate students enrolled reached 80 6103.In the past 40 years,the number of graduate students enrolled increased 75 times.According to the survey statistics,in 2016,the number of graduates of master's degree in China reached 563,900.The new development situation is in front of us.Master graduates at the "elite" level are also facing a severe employment test.The employment situation is not optimistic.On the basis of previous research results on the employment of postgraduates,this study,based on the collected data and questionnaires,aimsto find out the problems existing in the employment of postgraduates majoring in education,economics and management,reveal the causes of the problems,and put forward countermeasures for the problems.This study is based on the human capital theory created by Theodore W.Schultz and Gary S.Becker,the supply and demand theory created by Paul Samuelson and William Nordhouse,and tests and evaluates the samples.Fifty-nine valid data are obtained,accounting for 73.75% of the sample population.By using SPSS to analyze the data and interviewing five cases in the sample,we find that the main problems existing in the employment of postgraduates majoring in education economy and management are:(1)the low demand of the employment market for the major of education economy and management;(2)the characteristics of the major are not obvious;(3)the curriculum of education economy and management emphasizes knowledge over practice.(4)The employment guidance of graduate students in some universities is not perfect;(5)The employment ability of graduate students majoring in education,economics and management is poor.In view of the prominent problems existing in the employment of postgraduates majoring in education economy and management,this study analyses the main reasons from three aspects: employment market,training units and individuals.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward some countermeasures for the employment problems of education economy and management specialty.Firstly,the state and governments at all levels should improve employment policies and improve the quality of employment;secondly,training units should innovate training models and improve the quality of education;thirdly,students majoring in education economy and management should improve their professional knowledge and employment ability;fourthly,the employment market should standardize recruitment behavior and change the concept of employment.
