The right to participate is a fundamental right granted to children by law.Children’s participation is a new indicator of current child development and a crucial factor in early childhood education.Kindergarten reception class is an important stage in the social development of children,and game activities are the main way of kindergarten education.Merely by allowing phase children to truly participate in the activities can the social development of phase children be more beneficially developed.The characteristics of independent selection and free activities of kindergarten regional activities provide a good environment and conditions for children to participate in activities.The research object of this study chose to use the "sampling of purpose" method to select a minor class in Guilin City A kindergarten,and to conduct a five-week non-participatory observation on the area activities of the three reception children in the park,recording the selection of regional activities of Kindergarten minor class children and regional activities.Number of children participating in area activities,and random interviews with the teachers in the class to further appreciate the specific performance of the Kindergarten minor class children in the area activities.The main structure and content of the paper are:The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the background of the research topic,sorts out literature on the adaptation of children from the reception class and relevant research on children’s participation,including the definition of core concepts,and discusses the research significance and research design of this research.The main research theoretical basis,research ideas,research contents,research objects and research methods are introduced.The second part is a description of the participation of children from the reception class area activities,mainly from three aspects: the choice of children’s area activities,the frequency of participation in various area activities,and the participation in area activities.And contrasted the participation of children from thereception class in area activities.The third part is the analysis of the issues and causes of the participation of children from the reception class area activities.There are main issues in the participation of children from the reception class in eara activities: Children’s participation in area activities is not high;the passive participation of children are conspicuous;the frequency of participation area activities is significantly different;the activities of children interact with each other.The reason is analyzed: teachers pay insufficient attention to the participation of children in area activities;area activities settings do not attract early childhood interest;unreasonable area activity space planning;most children lack the participation strategy.The fourth part is the four suggestions for improving the participation rate of children from the reception class area activities: pay attention and help to passive participation and non-participating children,and eliminate their separation anxiety;the material placement is in line with the age characteristics of children,and the theme setting meets the children’s experience needs.Children from the reception class area activities should be separated and relatively closed;teach children the participation strategies and cultivate game masters,let the children participate independently.
