Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In Family Intergenerational Conflict

At present,there are more and more researches on family intergenerational conflicts in academic circles.The existing researches mostly analyze the causes of family intergenerational conflicts from the perspective of problems and put forward countermeasures and suggestions on the analyzed causes.However,research on how to meet the needs of families with intergenerational conflicts is relatively lacking.This research is based on the provincial financial project undertaken by the h institution of Gansu province.it goes deep into 200 families in five communities in chengguan district of Lanzhou city.through the research,it is found that the generation of family intergenerational conflicts mainly comes from cognitive and communication barriers.According to this,this study selects family a as a case,on the basis of fully evaluating the needs of the clients,uses case social work method,based on family system theory and combined with the specific intervention methods of Satya family therapy mode,to explore how to meet the needs of the clients through case work method and solve the intergenerational conflicts of the clients’ families.Through the study of this case,there are four basic needs in resolving conflicts in the modern conflict families: 1、the need to reform family rules;2、the need to establish correct beliefs;3、the need to promote the growth of roles;4、the need to reshape communication methods.Through practical intervention in the case of family intergenerational conflict,this case work has achieved certain results in meeting the above needs and improving the goal of family intergenerational conflict.Therefore,this case study concludes that:1.Case work method plays a certain role in solving the problem of family intergenerational conflict.2.When the family system theory is specifically applied to the case owner,it should flexibly use better psychological intervention tools to play an effective role in easing the anxiety of the service object,overcoming the cognitive and communicationbarriers,i.e.helping the service object break unreasonable family rules and re-examine concepts and cognition.3.The key to meeting the needs of families with intergenerational conflicts is to empower the clients on the basis of overcoming the cognitive barriers of family members,help them to change unreasonable communication methods and learn to communicate in accordance with the outside world.The shortcomings of this study are: the selection of service objects is relatively single;The scope of case work intervention is limited;Social workers lack professional skills and experience.
