Education is the foundation of one country and teachers play an important role in the development of education.As the newly emerging force of educational group,young teachers play the key parts in promoting the modernization of education.However,in reality,the public schools in Nanyuan District of Maoming City are confused by young teachers who lack belongingness and quit their jobs frequently.The resignation of young teachers has disturbed the regular teaching order and brings the mental pressure to the schools' on-duty teachers.In addition,it even influences the continuity of local educational work,the stability of teaching staff and the quality of cultivating students.It also does great harm to the development of regional education.Therefore,the thesis researches the current situation and influential factors of young teachers' belongingness in the public schools in Nanyuan District of Maoming City.Then,it puts forward some countermeasures on how to improve the sense of belonging,which is of certain practical significance.Taking the young teachers in public middle schools in Nanyuan District of Maoming City as the research object,with the investigation of questionnaire and interview,the thesis implements the research on the belongingness of young teachers in 15 public middle schools of Nanyuan District.To find out the reasons for the lack of young teachers' sense of belonging and put forward the corresponding countermeasures related to the problems,it is helpful for enhancing the belongingness of young teachers and stabilizing the young teaching staffs in public middle schools and promoting the sustainable development of local school education.The thesis is divided into six chapters.Chapter I is the prologue,which includes the background and the significance of the research on young teachers' belongingness,the review of research literature at home and abroad,the introduction to research ideas,and research methods.Chapter II introduces relevant concepts and theories mentioned in the thesis.It defines the concepts of public middle schools,young teachers and teachers' belongingness.In addition,it explores the application of related theories.Chapter III is the investigation on the staff development and the belongingness of young teachers in public middle schools in Nanyuan District.It describes how the lack of young teachers' sense of belonging has been affecting their work performance.Chapter IV demonstrates the design for researching on the young teachers' belongingness in public middle schools in Nanyuan District,which includes a questionnaire and an interview outline designed in accordance with the reality of public schools in Nanyuan District.Chapter V is the analysis of the research outcomes.By running the data collected from questionnaires in SPSS,this chapter digs deep into the cause of young teachers' lack of belongingness from four perspectives – policy system,school management,working environment and growth potential.Chapter Six is the strategy of improving the belongingness of young teachers in public middle schools in Nanyuan District.These strategies mainly focus on four aspects – improving policies,optimizing school management,expanding the growth potential and improving the teachers' qualities.
