Research On The Evaluation Of Scientific Research Performance Of Undergraduate College In Hunan Province

As the country's investment in scientific research funds in colleges and universities has been increasing year by year,the scientific research performance of universities has become the focus of attention of all walks of life.However,the research on the scientific research performance of colleges and universities in the existing literature is mostly concentrated in the universities directly under the Ministry of Education.There is not enough attention to the evaluation of scientific research performance in regional universities.At the same time,in terms of research methods,existing studies have not conducted corresponding homogenization of gaps in scientific research strength among universities,which in turn has made the evaluation results of scientific research performance in universities lose their application value.Firstly,this paper selects 27 public colleges in Hunan Province as the research object from the perspective of hierarchical classification theory.The homogeneity of the decision unit(DMU)is handled according to the principles of classification and hierarchy of universities;secondly,the DEA model and super-efficiency DEA are adopted.The application of the model analyzes the current situation of scientific research input and output in colleges and universities from two aspects of the university's overall and hierarchical categories.Third,based on this,it constructs the TOBIT regression model to deeply explore the factors affecting the scientific research performance of universities and colleges;The main factors of scientific research input and output performance proposes policies and suggestions for improving scientific research performance of Hunan universities.The results of the study show that: First,the overall performance of the research performance of undergraduate colleges in Hunan Province is poor,the polarization of input-output efficiency is obvious,and the input of scientific research resources in universities and colleges needs to be improved.Second,the scientific research performance of colleges and universities has a positive correlation with scientific research investment and scientific research strength.Third,there is no obvious positive correlation between the level of regional economic development and academic reputation in colleges and universities for scientific research performance.Therefore,increasing the investment in public financial education,focusing on the training of scientific research personnel,strengthening the discipline construction in universities,and improving the basic conditions for scientific research infrastructure are the key to improving the performance of scientific research in universities.At the same time,local governments should also improve the system for allocating scientific research resources and promote the scientific and rational allocation of scientific research resources so as to improve the overall level of research input and output performance of universities.
