Group Work Involved In The Urban Adaptability Of “Elderly Immigrants”

After the reform and open policy,our country economy rapid development,which is associated with the urbanization process accelerate,the population flow and population aging increasingly situation are more and more serious.Such a social background has given rise to different from "left-behind elderly" groups — "elderly immigrants".They could have enjoyed their life in their hometown,enjoyed contended of " While picking asters neath the Eastern fence My gaze upon the Southern mountain rests”,but in order to ease the pressure on their children living in the city,and to better take care of the third generation,resolutely decided to" float "to their children's city.Though can be reunited with their children,enjoyed their family happiness,but should silently bear strange language,different relationships and lifestyle differences,which bring their spiritual loneliness and lonely,they became the most lonely watchers in prosperous big city.As a special elderly group,the social from all walks of life have begun to focus on this special elderly group and study them.This paper starts from the perspective of social work,through the methods of questionnaire and in-depth interview to understand elderly immigrants' city adaptive actualities which come from H community of tongling city.Then,by collecting data and analyzing data,the author found that their city adaptive actualities generally includes the following four aspects: language communication adaptive actuality,the behavior way adaptive actuality,interpersonal communication adaptive actuality,psychological adaptive actuality.Based on their adaptive actualities,analyzing their adaptive demand and using the elderly group work methods and techniques,the author targetedly design and carry out the work in groups of five,and then evaluate the process and effects of this group work,finally return to the three theoretical basis,from the angle of social work intervention of“elderly immigrants” urban adaptability,the author make the corresponding reflection.
