With the increasing exposure of drug abuse among entertainment stars, the problem of drug abuse has become a hot topic of public concern. The number of drug addicts in China is increasing, and in particular drug addicts tend to be younger and with diverse background. In order to limit the increase in the number of drug addicts,China has implemented a variety of drug treatment models.Among them, compulsory isolation and drug rehabilitation is a kind of work that the executive authorities perform to physically rehabilitate drug addicts,Meanwhile, social workers offer professional intervention to drug addicts to help them realize family return, social return, and career return. It is already proved that intervention is an effective means for social reintegration. This paper studies the social reintegration of compulsory drug addicts. It is divided into four parts.Chapter one introduces the research background, research purpose, significance, research methods and the theoretical basis so as to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the subsequent study.Chapter two expounds related concepts and makes literature review on the social reintegration of compulsory drug addicts. The concept is defined for a better clarification of the research scope.Literature review helps to lay out the outline of this paper. The third chapter is the focus of the study. It introduces the client of this case, records the plan and implementation process of the whole case work, and makes a work summary. This study mainly uses social support theory and energy growth theory to help the case owners in the process of social reintegration. The word that "Helping others to be self-reliant will also benefit ourselves" should be bear in our mind. The author applies case work method to help the client return to a normal life. The fourth part sums up the shortcomings of this study, and puts forward reasonable suggestions on the problems existing in the social reintegration of compulsory detoxification personnel, and at the same time appealed to the social assistance force to promote the social public to change the discrimination against the compulsory detoxification personnel.
