For everyone,the junior middle school stage is the most rapid and critical period of personal physical and psychological development.Healthy mentality and perfect personality will affect the development of middle school students in the future.To explored the relationship between personality,interpersonal relationship and anxiety of junior middle school students,and to provide strategies and methods for maintaining campus stability,so as to promote the realization of harmonious campus.In this study,462 junior middle school students were selected by convenience of sampling from two ordinary middle schools in Guizhou,and were surveyed with the Big Five personality inventory,interpersonal relationship questionnaire and trait anxiety questionnaire.The Results showed that:(1)The scores of big five personality,from high to low,was Agreeableness,Extraversion,Conscientiousness,Openness,and Neuroticism.The scores of interpersonal relationship,from high to low,was teacher-student relation,domestic relation,and peer relation.The score of anxiety was positive.(2)There did exist significant difference between genders in teacherstudent relation,and total interpersonal relationship.And there did exist significant difference between grades in Extraversion,Openness,teacherstudent relation,domestic relation,peer relation,and anxiety.And there did exist significant difference between nationalities in Extraversion and Openness(Ps<0.05).(3)There were significant correlations among middle school students' personality,interpersonal relation and anxiety.And there were significant positive correlations between Neuroticism and anxiety,the two variables were significant negative correlation with other variables.The scores of dimensions of personality(except for Neuroticism)were significant positively correlated with the dimensions of interpersonal relation(Ps<0.05).(4)Multivariate stepwise regression indicated that personality(as an internal factor of mental health)and interpersonal relation(as an external factor of mental health)could have an effect on anxiety.And further analysis found that the role of interpersonal relation is more important than personality.(5)Mediation effect analyses suggested that the effect of Neuroticism on anxiety was significantly mediated by interpersonal relationship.The middle school students' Neuroticism not only have a direct effect on anxiety,but also have an indirect effect on anxiety through their interpersonal relationship.
