:This article used questionnaire to investigate the current situation of the interpersonal relationship and personality of collage students and the differences on each dimension between the both,it tried to find out the positive personality factors which have influence on the interpersonal relationship of collage students, moreover,it also discussed the strategies for cultivating good interpersonal relationship of collage students. A lot of researches indicated that the personality of an individual has big influence on his/hers interpersonal relationship. This article researched the relation between interpersonal relationship and personality,on one hand,it enlarged the scope of collage students' interpersonal relationship research,proved and applied related theories of positive psychology;while on the other hand,it provided some references to collage students' psychological counseling and their mental health education,it also provide assistance to genius cultivation. Meanwhile,it can be an enlightenment for the collage students who have interpersonal obsession,helping them know more about themselves,finding their confidence,building harmonious interpersonal relationship, promoting individual growth and self-actualization, and better adopting the social development.This article applied the "Cattell's 16 Personality Factor" made by an American psychologist R.B.Cattell and the "Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale of college Students' interpersonal relationship" made by Zheng richang of Beijing Normal University.It investigated 1050 in-campus students,analysed the data by SPSS 16.0,conclusions as below:1.Almost half of the college students mantains good interpersional relationship with others,while anther half shows different levels' interpersonal obsession,specifically,they have difficulties on the relation with opposite sex.2.Major doesn't show a significant difference on the collage students' interpersonal relationship.Otherwise,grade,gender,location of birth,family economic status and school achievement have significant differences on the collage students' interpersonal relationship. As far as the grade is concerned,the freshmen performed best,the graduates is better than the sophomores and grade 3 students;for the gender,girls significant better than boys;for the location of birth,village located students are better than city and township located students;for the family economic status, the average level students are better than others;for the school achievement,the lower middle level students are the best, then it is the middle to upper level students,the middle level students,the lower level students and the upper level students.3.Among the 16 personality factors,in addition to experimental has no significant correlation with the dimensions of interpersonal relationship,other 15 factors of personality are significantly correlated with all the dimensions of interpersonal relationship.The general condition of interpersonal relationship significantly correlated with intelligent, stability, dominalnce, excitability, perseverance, social boldness, privateness, autonomy are positively correlated with interpersonal relationship, vigilance, independence, tension are negatively correlated with interpersonal relationship.4.Excitement, anxiety, stability, autonomy, imagination, doubt, independence, gregariousness, privateness can predict the ability of interpersonal relationship.
