Subjective well-being affects a person's physical and mental health development. Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the influencing factors of subjective well-being.There are many factors affecting subjective well-being,the external factors include life events, social support, interpersonal communication and physical exercise, while the internal factors include personality traits,self-worth,self-esteem and coping styles. For junior middle school students, academic stress has the most prominent impact on subjective well-being;among the influences of academic stress on subjective well-being,self-worth plays a key role. Therefore, when discussing the relationship between academic stress and subjective well-being of junior middle school students, this study also added the variable of self-worth,explored the relationship between these three factors from the two aspects of external factors and internal factors, and constructed the model to enrich the empirical research of subjective well-being.In this study,833 junior middle school students were measured by using the middle school students' academic stress scale, life satisfaction scale, emotional balance scale and adolescent self-worth scale for empirical research, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 students of grade one.The research results are as follows:(1)The total score of academic stress of junior middle school students is168.623,which is at the medium level. The academic stress of junior middle school students is significant difference in gender, grade and whether class cadre variables;but in the place of origin variable, only the dimension of expectation stress is significant difference, rural students are higher than urban students;in terms of the whether only child variable, compared with theonly child's task demand stress, expectation stress and development stress, the non-only child is significantly greater than the only child in these three aspects.(2)The subjective well-being of junior middle school students is significant difference in grade and whether class cadre variables, while there is no significant difference in gender, whether only child and place of origin variables.(3)The self-worth of junior middle school students is significant difference in grade, place of origin and whether class cadre variables;in terms of gender variable, only the special self-worth dimension of personal orientation is significant difference, boys are lower than girls;in terms of the whether only child variable, there is no significant difference.(4)The academic stress of junior middle school students has significant correlation with subjective well-being and self-worth.Among them, all dimensions of academic stress have significant negative correlation with life satisfaction and positive emotion, and have significant positive correlation with negative emotion;academic stress has significant negative correlation with all dimensions of self-worth;all dimensions of self-worth have significant positive correlation with life satisfaction and positive emotion, and have significant negative correlation with negative emotion.(5)The self-worth of junior middle school students has a partial mediating effect between academic stress and subjective well-being,and the mediating effect accounts for 45.52%.Conclusion: the self-worth of junior middle school students has a partial mediating effect between academic stress and subjective well-being,that is,subjective well-being can be directly effected by academic stress, and it can also be indirectly effected by self-worth.
