Science and technology revitalize the country,talent power.The development of science and technology is vital to the development of a country.To develop science and technology,we must pay attention to the cultivation of talents.National curriculum standard is the reference standard for textbook compilation,the basis for teaching,evaluation and examination,and the basis for national curriculum evaluation and management.In April 2013,the United States promulgated the new generation of science education standards(NGSS),and at the end of 2017,China also promulgated the new high school curriculum standards.Therefore,under the premise of the new curriculum reform,it is very meaningful and important to conduct a comparative study between the curriculum standards of Chinese high school physics and the American physics education standards.It is of great significance to the development of learners,the advancement of new curriculum reform,the progress of science and technology,and the prosperity of the country.The research question of this paper is "the difference and enlightenment of mechanics part in high school physics education standard between China and America".The research process,first is the literature review,then is the comparison of the theoretical basis and research methods.After that,it is the text of this paper.This paper makes a comparison from four aspects:the background of the standard,the standard frame,the standard typesetting,and the mechanics part of the standard.In the last paragraph,the author first translated the mechanics part of the new generation of American science education standards to describe the standards of the Chinese and American high school mechanics,and then juxtected the materials to find the differences and similarities.Through the comparison,the following conclusions are drawn:Chinese curriculum standards are highly independent;Chinese curriculum standards attach importance to the characteristics of learning segments,and American education standards arehighly integrated;High school physics education in China and the United States should be open to all students;High school physics education in China and the United States is dedicated to inquiry-based education;Chinese high school physics curriculum standards focus on subject core knowledge,while American physics education standards focus on expected performance;The U.S.focuses on engineering;The mechanical part of the high school physics education standard in China and the United States has the same understanding of concepts in China and the United States;Both Chinese and American high school physics and mechanics education standards emphasize the importance of experiments,while the United States pays more attention to problem solving ability.
