The Prediction Of The Development Of The Mathematics Curriculum Today From The Change Of The Standards For American Mathematics Curriculum

The education reform is determined by two factors: one is the development of the society, the other is the international contradiction movement of the education. Curriculum reform is one of the most important topics in current education reform. In 1989, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) published "Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics ". Ten years later, the draft document "Principles and Standards for School Mathematics: Discussion Draft", represents a next step by NCTM in efforts to reflect the new direction of American mathematics education reform.In 1999, the Writing Group of the Standards for the Country Mathematics Curriculum in China worked out "The Tentative Idea of the Standards for the Country Mathematics Curriculum".
