As an important branch of language and culture,spatial words not only express the spatial orientation,but also convey the rich connotation of Chinese traditional culture,engraving the traces of patriarchal etiquette system in all dynasties of our country.If the cultural meaning of spatial words is incorporated into the teaching of ancient poetry in middle school,there is no doubt that it will inject new vitality into the present stage of Chinese teaching,stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese and explore Chinese,also promote the development and dissemination of Chinese traditional culture.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the cultivation of all-round development of talents and paying attention to the integration of disciplines has become an important concept.Now,the cultural significance of ancient poems and essays in middle schools has been incorporated into teaching research.Students associate the spatial orientation expressed in geographical knowledge with the Chinese position words in ancient poetry and combine the traditional culture and historical culture behind the bearing words.It will fully achieve the integration of disciplines,and meet the new curriculum standards.It can also promote the all-round development of students.Therefore,I hope to inject new vitality into the teaching of ancient poetry in middle school and re-examine the ancient poetry with bearing words.Hoping that we will better understand and explore the background of the ancient poetry with the help of the cultural significance of the bearing words.It will stimulate students’ interest in learning Chinese.So far,no works or special papers have discussed the integration of the cultural meaning of spatial words with the teaching of ancient poetry in middle schools.Therefore,combining the theory and practice,this paper deeply excavates the cultural significance of spatial words,integrates the cultural significance of spatial words into the teaching of ancient poetry in middle schools,develops new curriculum resources,and also provides a suitable opportunity to carry forward the traditional culture of our country.This paper is divided into four chapters:In chapter one,it will discuss the cultural connotation of azimuth words.First,it makes a brief definition of the concept of "bearing word",and then explains the spatial and cultural meaning of "bearing word".Finally,it affirms the moral value,both aesthetic value and cultural value of "bearing word".In chapter two,it will discuss the relationship between azimuth words and ancient poems in middle schools.Bearing words not only represent the spatial orientation,but also represent a certain cultural significance in the ancient poetry of middle school.This chapter first looks for the common azimuth words in the middle school ancient poetry,and then explores the relationship between the azimuth words and the cultural significance of the middle school ancient poems.Finally,it discusses the auxiliary function of the spatial words to the middle school ancient poems.In chapter three,from the point of view of teaching,it will probe into the practical methods of integrating the cultural meaning of orientation words into the teaching of ancient poetry in middle schools,also it will put forward the relevant requirements for the specialization of teachers.In chapter four,it makes a special discussion on the teaching and research of the cultural significance of the ancient poems and essays in middle schools.These three typical topics "South" and "North","East" and "West","Upper" and "Lower" are putting forward.It integrated into the cultural meaning which represent in the ancient poems and essays of middle school,and then tested by practical teaching,so as to achieve the teaching purpose.
