| Language testing is the significant part of teaching language,and it plays an important role in the promotion of teaching and learning.Diagnostic tests and achievement tests are most closely integrated with teaching and learning,they can show how the students master the current content of courses visually.Teachers can timely summarize the problems that students have in the learning process from the feedback of the tests,and improve the teaching methods on time.Based on examining the secondary school students in Ateneo de Iloilo Santa Maria Catholic School in Philippines,this thesis researched the validity of question types and content of diagnostic tests and achievement tests,which are most closely integrated with Chinese teaching and learning.The analysis of the diagnostic tests summed up some question types which can be used for the primary stage of Chinese,then use the question types to make a simulate achievement test,and compare it with the achievement test which designed by local Chinese teacher.The comparison results show that Ateneo de Iloilo Santa Maria Catholic School had some defects in the question types and content design of Chinese tests,and these defects make the validity of test low.Finally,based on the previous analysis results,this thesis summarized the shortcomings of Chinese tests in Philippines secondary schools,and put forward some suggestions for Chinese test and teaching and the environment of test.For the test,the questions types should be in high validity,and the content which will be showed on the test paper should be selected carefully and can help students improve their Chinese ability.For teaching,the method of vocabulary which called word-centered should be changed,and put the teaching and practicing principle of grammar into effect.For the environment of test,the schools should think highly of Chinese test,and change some improper subjects of the syllabus in a right way. |
