| As the hinterland of the Three Gorges reservoir area,Wanzhou District of Chongqing faces many human-land conflicts such as the reduction of land resources resulting from rising river water surface and the ecological environment pressure caused by resettlement. It is necessary to study on the synergetic development of man-land areal system in Wanzhou District,in order to alleviate human-land conflicts, form benign circular effects and promote the sustainable development of Wanzhou District. This paper believes that man-land areal system is composed of population system and land syste, which are most important systems in the socioeconomic system.man-land areal system is an agroforestry system derived from the mutual influence, interaction and mutual coupling between internal subsystems under certain geographical conditions. The synergetic development of man-land areal system is mainly reflected in the stable state presented by the population system and the land system itself, and the synergistic effect of the interaction between the population system and the land system through the internal main elements.Based on this, this paper takes the man-land areal system in Wanzhou District of Chongqing as the research object, uses the characteristics of population system and land system as the identification, and explores the stable state of the two subsystems’ own development, the degree of coordination in the distribution difference and the degree of coordination of the whole system in the evolution process, according to which the overall degree of the synergetic development of man-land areal system in Wanzhou District is identified, and the degree of human-land conflicts is analyzed from the local to the overall level. The paper reveals the nature of the human-land relationship, analyzes the main restrictive factors, explores ways to realize the synergetic development of the system, and initially forms the basic framework for the research on the synergetic development of the man-land areal system in Wanzhou District, and provides necessary practical guidance and theoretical reference for the sustainable development of socioeconomic development based on the premise of ‘human-land synergetic development’in Wanzhou District. This paper draws the following conclusions.(1)The population system of Wanzhou District is an open system, which is in a state of development and change. The number and structure of the main attributes in the system are relatively unstable during the development process. The land system of Wanzhou District is in the process of development and change, and it is in an unstable state of the distribution of land type quantity.(2)The spatial distribution of the population size and the number of land types in Wanzhou District is more synergistic, the population density is positively correlated with the dynamic degree of land comprehensive utilization, and the population density is positively correlated with the degree of comprehensive land use, therefore, the relative changes between the two are more reasonable;the dynamics of land comprehensive utilization and the degree of comprehensive utilization of land remain relatively high in areas with a high degree of spatial agglomeration. The spatial distribution of population structure and land type in Wanzhou District has a low degree of synergy, the urban population change and the urban land use change are less coordinated;the rural population change and the rural construction land change are less coordinated;the agricultural labor change within the working age and agricultural land change are less coordinated.(3)The actual state of the synergetic development of man-land areal system in Wanzhou District is in a general state of synergy. Most townships(streets)have low closeness values in the general cooperative state and large differences in spatio-temporal distribution, which indicating the internal elements of the system’s coordination effect does not present the overall synergy, and the whole system’s degree of synergy needs to be strengthened. From the time dimension, the comprehensive and cooperative closeness of man-land areal system in most years has the maximum at the second level during 2008 to 2017,indicating that the whole man-land areal system in Wanzhou District is in a general cooperative state, which the closeness value is low and the degree of coordinated development is not high. From the spatial dimension,32 townships(streets)have the maximum value at the 2nd level about the comprehensive closeness of the man-land areal system synergy in the 52 townships(streets)of Wanzhou District, indicating that the whole man-land areal system in Wanzhou District is in a general cooperative state, which the closeness value is low and the degree of coordinated development is not high.(4)The main limiting factors affecting the overall synergetic development of manland areal system in Wanzhou District include elevation, soil pollution index, per capita arable land area, per capita forest area, per capita net income of farmers, per capita net income of urban residents, population density, population capacity on urban land and the distance to the central city. The paper uses the geo-detector method to measure the decisive value of each factor. The decisive values of main restrictive factors are 0.5004,0.5246,0.4439,0.4944,0.4593,0.4575,0.5017,0.4594,0.5163.(5)Based on the theory of sustainable development, combined with the results of the previous research, the paper explores ways to achieve synergetic development of manland areal system in Wanzhou District: strengthening the coordination of urban-rural areas and developing the road of urban-rural integration;strengthening ecological protection and achieving a green development path.(6)According to the above research, the following policy recommendations are proposed to promote the sustainable development of Wanzhou District: increasing the supply of social resources to backward regions, supporting developed regions to transport talents and other resources to backward regions, narrowing regional differences in strength;planning the construction of small towns on the periphery of densely populated areas, relieving the pressure of overpopulated areas, improving the imbalance of population spatial distribution, promoting balanced and stable population development;insisting on intensive land use and cultivated land protection, strengthening the relationship between industrial layout and land use structure, optimizing the layout of land use structure;promoting the urban-rural integration development, developing modern agriculture, realizing the integration and development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, giving play to the advantages of agricultural resources, increasing the income of farmers;establishing resettlement areas and implementing relocation and resettlement of alpine rural settlements;protecting and rationally utilizing water-soil resources, promoting the virtuous circle of ecological environment development;exploring characteristic tourism resources, developing tourism experience tourism, increasing tourism development, improving tourism supporting facilities, and achieving linkage development with other tourism areas in the reservoir area. |
