Research On The Problem Of The Integration Of Ethnic Minority College Students With Social Work

The social integration of ethnic minorities is the key fountain for steady development of China's social economy and culture.To integrate of minority students into university's campus life is a top priority.It is not only related to the development of the individual,but also affects the unity and development of the whole society.Therefore,we must confront to problems arising from this integration,explore a new paths to solve issues,and accelerate the Process.The author attempts to intervene in the study by using social work methods,for discuss of the process and applied value of campus integration of minority university students.In order to insights into the dilemma of campus integration of minority students,this paper intervene in the campus integration of minority university students by using the unique perspective of social workers,which is conducive to further understanding of the integration of minority university campuses,also assist them to get a solution of the campus integration dilemma accurately.Social workers assist objects get out of from the difficultly of campus integration,by using resource links and professional service activities,to maintain a peaceful campus,and promote overall development.This paper takes the minority first-year students in F College from L University as the research object,to analyzes current situation and existing problems of the integration of minority students' through questionnaires and on-site visits,from four aspects overall: economic integration,learning integration,class integration and campus practice activities.Based on the theory of ecosystem and cognitive behavioral theory,use case social work and group social work to assist the research objects to improve their campus adaptability.Social workers selected student G from College F as a economic integration case object.After a process of resource links,dilemma intervention,and psychological treatment,social workers helped students G to solve problem successfully of campus integration,restore his mental health and regain his hopes both on study and life in the same time.Social workers set up an activity group named “New Life Growth” at F College,also they launched a series of group activities.In a series of activities such as game a activities,sharing sessions,group activities and social practice,professional social work methods are applied to help team members to clarify the problems existing in the process of campus integration,and finally achieve the goal and service plan of the group.
