The Application Of Social Work In City Integration Of Minority Floating Population

With the rapid economic and social development, urban and rural economic andsocial structural system is gradually disintegrated, more and more surplus rural labormigration to the cities to earn a living. There are special people in this huge group-minority population, due to the relatively small number of migrant workers that they arenot as subject to the same common concern. Instead because of differences in culture,language, habits, etc., so that local people often suffer from exclusion to be marginalized.While addressing their livelihood issues they also bear the dual pressures of urbanizationand modernization in a more vulnerable position, so their survival and development aremore difficult compared with ethnic Han migrants.Problems faced by many minority migrants, the main concern of this article isminority urban migrants integration question, visited Chifeng City Dongxiaojingcommunities, communicated with the floating population, local Han residents,community workers, summarized major problems in the integration of ethnic minoritiesmigrants, combined with the related literature, used the social work theory to analyse.This paper is divided into four parts: The first part is to define the concepts andtheories expounded the basic concepts, including the floating population, urbanintegration, national social work; theory expounded mainly for social-ecological systemstheory and group work methods. The second part is to analyse Dongxiaojingcommunities urban migrants integrate case begins with a brief overview of the mainbasic situation of community background, describes the case; take the case and the caseof the main access; estimate and analyse causes and problems by social work theory. Thethird part of minority floating population social work intervention services identifiedneeds and goals in the preparation stage, build teams; during the implementation phaseorganized the five group activities to enhance minority urban migrants ’ sense ofbelonging and expand their communication range, reduce the gap of mutualunderstanding and communication between Han people and minority floating populationand more intimate relationship and harmonious to reduce drag of urban minorityintegration of migrants; in the end stages assess team and officially closed. The fourthpart is the conclusion and countermeasures, the conclusion is minorities flow range isobjectively limited in the ethnic areas; the closed environment will directly affect the quality and the development of the nation. So the relevant departments should attachimportance to the issue of ethnic migrants, as soon as possible, to the marginalization ofthis group, to provide more protection for the system. Measures are mainly to improvesocial work services, the development of ethnic professional social work; supportmeasures to improve the development of relevant policies, train minority social workers;mobilize social forces to enrich the social life of ethnic minority migrants and contacts;strengthen publicity and education and create a good social atmosphere to promotemulticultural city; establish a sound legal system and the legal system to protect theinterests of minority migrants.
