With the continuous development of social economy,the new generation migrant workers have gradually become the main power among the migrant workers.They focus on how to better solve the problem of their children's education.It is not only related to the vital interests of millions of migrant workers,but also related to the smooth progress of urbanization.There is a big difference between the old one and the new one in the concepts of education and the attitude to education.So,what are educational expectations of the new generation migrant workers for their children?Whether the education expectations are consistent with the education behavioral choices?If not,why not?what all sectors of society can do?Based on the field survey of 9 households of the new generation migrant workers in Lanzhou,the research used qualitative research methods to analyze the phenomenon through subjective narrative and micro-perspectives,and compared the difference between ideal and reality.Analyzed the influencing factors of educational expectations and behavioral choices to make reasonable plans for children of the new generation migrant workers and make their children better developed.Based on the literature,educational expectations are divided into two parts:educational inputs include learning environment and family-school collaboration,and educational outputs include learning performance,moral quality,interpersonal relationships and living ability.Through qualitative research,the conclusions of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the general characteristics of parents' educational expectations for their children.From the survey results,it can be seen that parents have relatively high expectations for their children in all aspects of education.In the five aspects of learning environment,family-school collaboration,moral quality,interpersonal relationships and life ability,each interviewee has high expectations for their children.Secondly,the general characteristics of parents' behavioral choice for their children.In terms of learning environment,the ideal is rich and realistic.All parents can only meet the daily basic needs of their children according to the actual situation of the family.In terms of family-school collaboration,most parents are unable to maintain a benign interaction with schools and teachers.In terms of learning performance,parents have imposed strict discipline on their children.In terms of moral quality,interpersonal relationships and living ability,all parents take action to teach their children to live up to their expectations.Thirdly,after analyzing the status quo of educational expectations and behavioral choice,it is found that there are certain differences in learning environment,family-school collaboration and learning performance,which to a large extent affect the learning life of the children of the new generation migrant workers.So the researcher discusses the influencing factors of the educational expectations and behavioral choices of the new generation migrant workers for their children.lt explores why the new generation migrant workers has such educational expectations for their children from the five aspects of national educational policies,income level,self-experience and self-education level,children's age and traditional culture.It also explores the choices of the new generation migrant workers in practice from the five aspects of policies implementation,urban-rural household registration system,lower economic foundation,nature of work and educational expectations.
