Research On The Educational Dilemma Of The New Generation Migrant Workers And The Countermeasures

Migrant workers are a special social group appearing in the process of China’seconomic and social structure transformation. Its root is the dual structure systembetween the urban and rural in our country. After the reform and open policy, thegroup of migrant workers is growing constantly and at the beginning of thiscentury, the number of migrant workers reaches a peak. With the increase of thenumber of migrant workers and the passage of time, the internal homogeneityof migrant workers groups is weakened, the heterogeneity is enhanced, the ages aredivided, and the new generation of migrant workers has become the subject ofmigrant workers. Compared with the old generation of migrant workers, the newgeneration of migrant workers are more eager to integrate into the city, but there aregreat differences from city residents in various aspects, for example, of their socialstatus, life style, mode of thinking and concept of value which led to manyproblems appearing in the process of integration into urban society. Thispaper conducted a questionnaire survey and an interview of the cenozoic migrantworkers of Rizhao City. Based on the collation and analysis of the survey results,reflects the overall condition of the new generation of migrant workers and urbanintegration of the education process,and put forward some correspondingsuggestions and countermeasures.The main content of this paper is divided into the following five parts.The part of introduction, collects, sorts out and analysis the literature data andrelated research of China’s new generational migrant workers’,and clears thesignificance of this research, combs the research ideas and research methods of thispaper.The first chapter is an overview of the new generation of migrant workers, which isa part to analyze the relevant concepts involved. Furthermore, the basic conditionsurvey of the new generation of migrant workers,and it’s a clarification of differencebetween the older and the new generation of migrant workers.The second chapter is a analysis of the plight of the new generation migrant workers education.It based on a questionnaires and interview of the new generationmigrant workers in Rizhao City. It makes further process on the data and surveyresults. Analysis of educational predicament generation of migrant workers exist, suchas the low cultural quality, the lack of professional skills, poor psychological andideological consciousness, lower educational support, training and other forces cannot meet their needs.The third chapter is the reason of the plight of the new generation migrant workerseducation.With the new generation of migrant workers survey results,this paperanalyses the reason of the plight of the new generation of migrant workers educationfrom the education and training system, the function of family education, theallocation of educational resources and the new generation of migrant workersinvestment in education.Chapter IV focus on the solution of generation of migrant workers educationproblem. This paper mainly focus on new generation of migrant workers in RizhaoCity, while it draws conclusions also based on advanced experience in China. Thesolutions mainly four aspects, that is, government gives full play to the functions;perfect career education and training system,enhanced employ-ability,rich educationalcontent to continue to improve the overall quality of workers and create a culturalatmosphere, improve their own quality.Education on new generation migrant workers is a relatively weak part in ChinaEducation career. It influenced the worker’s daily life in city, thus, it affects theprocess of urbanization in China. Therefore, countermeasures and suggestionspresented in this paper, it has a guiding meaning to promote the education and trainingof the new generation of migrant workers and to speed up the process of urbanizationin China.
