China Basketball City-Study On Basketball Organization Of Jiyuan Civil Basketball

In recent years,basketball has developed rapidly in Jiyuan and this city also grows to be a hot spot for basketball.This essay investigates the status quo of Jiyuan civil basketball organizations,analyzes the existing problems of the organizations that constraints the further development of basketball and provides a theoretical basis for the sustainable development of basketball in Jiyuan.Based on a large number of literatures and researches regarding basketball and community,and adopted many methodologies including literature data,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics,logic analysis and expert interview methods,this essay detailedly investigates 30 civil basketball organizations in Jiyuan.Results of this essay indicate that:(1)The development of basketball in Jiyuan is valued by the government,but effective and continuous support in all aspects is still needed.(2)Basketball is a popular sport in Jiyuan so Jiyuan enjoys a good basketball atmosphere.(3)There are many basketball facilities in Jiyuan,but they still cannot meet the needs of basketball enthusiasts.(4)There is only one single management model in most civil basketball organizations in Jiyuan.In addition,lack of professionals making current management level low and inefficient in these organizations.(5)At present,most of the civil basketball organizations in Jiyuan are not accessible to stable funding sources,so the main funding source for them is self-raising.(6)There are many basketball events in Jiyuan,but due to the lack of unified planning,the development situations in different regions of Jiyuan vary and also make it hard to form a local brand effect.According to the research results,following suggestions are proposed:(1)The government competent department should put more emphasis on basketball,formulating corresponding policies,organizing regional basketball competitions,and creating regional basketball tournament brands in order to promote local development both socially and economically.(2)The government competent department has the obligation to meet people's needs for a better life by improving the socialization and marketization of basketball and the construction of hardware and software infrastructure of basketball.(3)Establish talent training bases to improve and foster the business and technical level of basketball-related professionals.Cultivate reliable basketball talents to serve regional basketball tournaments.(4)Establish and improve a new system of regional basketball tournament alliances,including formulating tournament league standards,forming a scientific,rational,and efficient business management model and so on.
