The new era is a time of education to rejuvenate the nation.Not only is the higher education of China developing at a tremendous speed,but also the situation is flourishing.Private-owned universities have been developing vigorously in recent years with the advantages of universality and multi-level.Inevitably,the challenge has led to a series of pressures of teachers,such as the increasing of workload,the increasing difficulty of work and the increasingly complex requirements of performance appraisal.It is not only that overburdened teachers are greatly hurt from physiology to psychology,but also leads to the decline in the teaching quality and work efficiency.The private-owned universities also encounter the short plate effect of development.The dissertation selected the full-time teachers of the x private-owned university in Xi'an as the research object.By means of questionnaires and interviews,the statistical analysis is conducted.The hypotheses were verified by descriptive statistics,ANOVA and so on.It is concluded that the full-time teachers of this school have a higher level of occupational stress.The main source of occupational stress of full-time teachers is working load,Job security and teaching guarantee.The level of occupational stress of full-time teachers shows significant differences in gender,educational background,marital status,professional title and working years.The main reasons included the social status and social expectations of teachers,related mechanisms,excessive workload,some internal factors of teachers and so on.In view of the situation of occupational stress of full-time teachers in this private-owned university,some effectively countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from external and internal levels:optimizing excitation mechanism to improve teachers' social status and economic status;adopting a series of scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanisms;alleviating contradictions of student-teacher ratio and arranging the workload scientifically;establishingEAP professional to consultation and guidance mechanism in universities;building a benign social support network;changing irrational concepts and adopting active cognitive coping strategies;adopting a constructive model of emotional management;setting up the concept of modern healthy life and strengthening the adjustment mechanism of internal drive.
