Over the past 30years, private schools have sprung up throughout China with the prosperity of the reform and opening up policy. While making great achievements, these schools are also faced with a series of problems, among which to be solved is teachers'occupational stress. As we can see, human resources of private schools are fulfilled via a rather complex way, which means teachers with different background make up the main working force of private schools. What's more, the brand-new system of management in these schools brings certain pressure to teachers there. On top of these, the fierce competition between schools and doubts from society have always been putting great pressure on teachers in private schools. On the other hand, whether teachers can adapt to the complex environment and get rid of all stresses in time determines the survival and development of a school.Politics teachers plays a vital part in helping students right their orientation and harvest a better morality, because moral education in many aspects is accomplished by ideology and political science teaching. As to the reasons above, it's essential to study politics teachers'occupational stress, especially those engaged in private schools. Only when they are free from psychological pressure can they create a positive atmosphere for their students and achieve the final goals.This study is aimed to analyze the current situation and negative effects of occupational stress from politics teachers in private schools, attempting to find out the real causes of it. Based on existing research results, this study involves documents, surveys, interviews and other research methods. Politics teachers in Tai Zhou Ming Xing Experimental Middle School in Jiangsu Province are the target of this study,240 politics teachers from surrounding public schools included to make comparisons. The results of this study indicate that too much occupation stress on politics teachers has negative effects on students'and their own mental health, thus influencing the education of private schools. Besides, in terms of occupational stress, there exist obvious differences between teachers of private schools and public schools. Finally, the causes of such pressure are closely related to the following factors:too much work, complex working environment, doubts from society, lack of professional ability, pressure from family life and so on.According to the finding, some suggestions are put forward in this paper to ease the occupational stress from politics teachers of private schools, Firstly, government should treat private school equally and give enough support; teachers'legitimate rights and interests should be guaranteed. Secondly, more harmonious working environment is supposed to be created by improving the management of private schools. Thirdly, politics teachers must hold right belief and professional ideals, devoting themselves to education; they are also advised to enhance their own professional abilities, trying to make their classes appealing and attractive. Last but not least, politics teachers, especially those in private schools should communicate more with others, establish good and healthy relationship and pay more attention to their mental health.
