Performance assessment is mainly through a number of methods or means to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the employees' work,and to evaluate and design the employees' individual performance and ability,and strives to improve the overall quality and ability of the employees.At the same time,performance appraisal is also an indispensable part of human resource management.If we want to do a good job in Higher Vocational education,we need to be able to give full play to the subjective initiative of teachers,and configure a reasonable and scientific performance evaluation system.Through the performance evaluation of teachers to guide the overall behavior of teachers,teachers can assist in their own career planning.As an educational model which combines theory with practice closely,higher vocational education calls for teachers to master professional knowledge,the ability to use knowledge and the performance of job responsibilities.Compared with other higher education modes,higher vocational education pays more attention to teachers' innovative knowledge and practical ability.In order to further improve the enthusiasm of the teachers and play the role of teachers in higher vocational education,the higher vocational colleges should pay attention to the improvement of the performance appraisal system.Rational and scientific performance appraisal system can effectively guide teachers' behavior and promote the progress of teachers' career.In this paper,combined with the example of Jiuquan Steel Career Technical College,the theory and practice of performance assessment are studied in many aspects.First,through the analysis of the present situation of the school teachers and the relevant theoretical basis of performance assessment,the problems in the performance examination system at the present stage of the Jiuquan steel Career Technical College are analyzed.The specific problems are: unclear assessment purposes,assessment methods to be improved,unscientific assessment indicators,and imperfect assessment communication and feedback mechanism;secondly,a series of methods for the performance assessment of the school are put forward,including the purpose of clear assessment,the improvement of assessment methods,and the setting of scientific examination.Nuclear indicators,improve the assessment of communication and feedback mechanism;third,the paper puts forward specific measures for the implementation of performance assessment programs,including: strengthening leadership,improving the enthusiasm of teachers to participate in performance assessment,establishing an effective performance interview mechanism,creating a matching incentive mechanism with assessment,and strengthening the system construction in the process of implementation.This study aims to establish a relatively complete system of performance assessment for teachers with reliability and objectivity,and to promote the teaching level of teachers in the Career Technical College.
