The primary school stage plays an important role for the development of students both on physical and mental aspects,it is also a crucial period for the formation of students ' personalities.Having a healthy mind can help primary school students to establish a correct outlook on world,life as well as value,so that the primary school students can form good personalities.Therefore,mental health is of vital importance to primary school students,as well as minority primary school students,In the past two decades,many scholars have made researches on the situation of mental health of primary school students and have made valuable achievements.While referring to the literature,I found that there have been few studies on mental health of ethnic minorities in the past five years.This paper researches on and compares of ethnic minorities and Han nationality,analyzes the current mental health status of primary school students.It is of great value for mastering the current mental health of primary school students and carrying out mental health guidance and education.This paper comprehensively adopts a variety of research methods such as literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.The research objects are the students who are Mongolian nationality in Mongolian Central Primary School of Chaganhua Town,Qianguo County and primary school of Han nationality.According to the scale "MHT",a questionnaire survey was conducted for more than 160 primary school students in the school.The following conclusions were reached through research:1.The overall mental health problems of Mongolian and Han primary school students are serious.The detection rate of patients with moderate psychological problems is 78%.The detection rate of mental disorders is 8%.2.Learning anxiety is the most serious in all dimensions of mental health.3.The mental health status of Mongolian pupils is better than that of Han pupils.Mongolian girls are better than Han girls in two dimensions of anxiety and learning anxiety.The sixth grade Mongolian girls are better than the Han girls in terms of anxiety and loneliness.In response to the above conclusions,the following suggestions are made:1.Schools establish a mental health education system and strengthen the emphasis on mental health education.2.Psychological teachers actively carry out activity classes and provide timely guidance in daily teaching.3.Students cultivate an optimistic and positive attitude and learn to use self-regulation methods.
