The ego state is a system of thought and feeling that is presented through a corresponding pattern.This study selects the “ego state” to measure the personality characteristics of students and to explore the relationship between them and their grade performance because it is easy to understand,to observe,and to change.Meanwhile,according to the previous literature review,this paper introduces the variable of “learning motivation” in order to understand the mechanism of the influence of personal state on grade performance,and explore the mediating effect of learning motivation in the relationship between ego state and grade achievement,found the ego state by learning motivation to influence learning mechanism,discusses how to improve student learning through the ego state and learning motivation.This research adopts a stratified sampling method and select a total of 391 junior high school students as subjects.The Personal State Checklist and the Learning Motivation Test are employed as measurement tools to show students' personal state and learning motivation.A total of 356 valid questionnaires were collected.And this study uses the average score of the two unified test scores as a statistical analysis of student grade.The research results are as follows:1.If the middle school students have a higher total score of ego state and more psychological energy,their distribution would be close to the perfect “bell-shaped chart”.There are some differences in variables of grades,genders,and whether or not the only child.2.If the total score of learning motivation is at a high level,then students have strong motivation to learn.There are some differences in variables of grade and gender.3.In the ego state,the controlling parent ego state,caring parent ego state,adult ego state and obedient child ego state are significantly correlated with academic performance and total score of all subjects.The controlling parent's ego state,caring parent's ego state,adult's ego state and total score of ego state were significantly correlated with learning motivation factors and total score.The demand level and promoted anxiety in learning motivation have significant mediating effect in the influence of adult ego state on learning achievement.The promoted anxiety has a significant mediating effect in the influence of submissive children's ego state on their academic performance.Based on the above research results,the author discussed the improvement of students' academic performance from the aspects of self-efficacy and attribution education and put forward relevant Suggestions.
