The "New Curriculum Reform Outline" clearly states: It is necessary to handle the relationship between imparting knowledge and cultivating ability,focusing on cultivating students' independence and autonomy,guiding students to question,investigate,and explore,learning in practice,and promoting students under the guidance of teachers.Actively and personally learn [1].The author is a teacher who has been teaching in a remote township middle school for many years.It is found that most teachers still use the teaching mode of teachers and students to teach.Under the traditional teaching mode,students' interest in learning and initiative are not high.In recent years,I have been thinking about whether the teaching through the "tutorial case" teaching mode can solve the problem of "combining knowledge and training ability".This paper takes sample of a township middle school in Liupanshui as the research object,and studies whether the teaching mode of the guiding case can improve the self-learning ability of rural students.This paper mainly uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method,empirical research method and interview method,collects relevant data and draws conclusions through relevant statistical analysis.The main contents of this study include the following aspects:(1)Designing a questionnaire for investigating students' self-learning ability through literature review and teaching practice,including three dimensions of chemistry learning habits,chemistry learning time,and chemistry learning methods.Students' self-learning ability;(2)Selecting experimental and control classes,designing a guiding case according to the requirements of the course standard and the actual situation of the students,and applying the teaching mode of the guiding case to the teaching practice,giving full play to the students in the teaching process(3)Through the form of questionnaires and the students' chemistry scores and student interviews,the relevant data are obtained,and the relevant data are statistically analyzed to obtain the actual situation of the students' self-learning ability.The results of the study show that students' self-learning ability and chemistry learning scores have improved after the implementation of the teaching mode of the guiding case.Therefore,the implementation of the guidance program in rural middle schools is feasible to improve students' self-learning ability.Through the teaching mode of the guiding case,the ability of rural junior high school students to learn independently can be improved,which will lay a foundation for their future high school,university and even social life.Learning to learn independently can benefit students for life.
